Special Guest Designer: Patti J.

Hi everyone! Today is an exciting day! Patti J. is back as our Special Guest Designer! Here's what Patti has to share with us.

Great Impressions  was one of the very first stamps I purchased when I began stamping, in 2000.  It still makes me smile to use one of their products, and I've missed being a team member!

The amazing Ruza asked me to create something 'For Him'. I didn't have too many masculine stamps, so here's what I decided to do ... A Double Z-Fold (Joy?) Card seemed like a fun manly-fold.

Here is the card opened partially ...

Here is the card opened fully ...

And this little view shows the card from the end - double z's, right???

I used these Great Impressions Stamps: Old Fishing Chair (G331) and the Tags Sentiment (G483). This will go to a man at church who loves to fish and golf!

Thanks for dropping by today! Make sure you stop by this Sunday for our Great Impressions June Challenge!

Special Guest Designer:; Patti J. ...

Hi everyone!

Patti J. here, and I'm so happy to be back on the Great Impressions Blog for a guest designer day! Great Impressions was actually one of the very first stamps that I ever purchased when I began stamping, in the Fall of 2000.  It still makes me smile to use one of their products!

The uber-talented Ruza asked me to create something 'For Her'.  I debated between Mabel and Vera or flowers for my card.  I decided to use this beautiful floral image - it's one of my favorites!

Here's what I created, using these Great Impressions Stamps: Tall Tulips (H251) and My Day Sentiment (A127).

This will go to a special lady, who regularly brightens my day.

Thanks for dropping by today, and make sure you stop by this Sunday for our Great Impressions May Challenge!

Good morning all. Our April Guest Designer Janice Melton is joining us today with an lovely Mother's Day card!

Here's what Janice has to say ...

For my card today I have used the beautiful Spring Floral Jars (G363). I heat embossed the image in White on Kraft cardstock and colored it with my Copics. Found this lacy paper in my stash and thought it went perfectly with this image, paired it with some Gingham and twine. Finished it off with some pearls. The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment (B190) is also heat embossed but in Black so that it stands out more. Thanks again for letting me share my cards with you'll this month!

Such a beautiful card! I love the embossing on craft cardstock, along with her coloring and design with the lovely lacy paper. Janice did an amazing job! Make sure you stop by Janice's Blog to leave her some love!

Guest Designer: Janice

Good morning all. Our April Guest Designer Janice Melton is joining us today with an adorable card!

Here's what Janice has to say ...

For my 2nd card as Guest Designer for the month of April I’ve used the cute Dog & Bird (G534) stamp! It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I shaded around the image with some Distress Ink while it was still in the die. The main image is raised up with some foam tape with a layer of Corrugated card stock and twine under it on top of the Label 18 die cut. It gives it a nice 3D effect. I finished it off with a twine bow and paw print brad.

Such an awesome card! From her coloring to the design with the corrugated cardstock, along with the perfect design paper Janice did an amazing job! Make sure you stop by Janice's Blog to leave her some love!

This is my second project for Great Impressions as the Guest Designer for March.  It is fun to work with these sweet images! Jelly Bean Time (H284) is combined with Life is Sweeter Sentiment (E890) and several layers to create a springy card.

Jelly Bean Time is stamped on white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored with Chameleon Pens. The sentiment is stamped in Radiant Neon Electric Pink and the panel is die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles. Thin pastel pink ribbon is looped around the corners and a small bow is attached in one corner.  A second Stitched Rectangle is die cut from white cardstock and sponged with Radiant Neon Electric Blue.  The bottom layer is white cardstock brayered with Radiant Neon Electric Pink. Darice Plaid embossing folder is inked with Radiant Neon Electric blue and the layer is pressure embossed creating a blue and pink plaid pattern.  The embossed layer is attached to the card front, and the top two layers are adhered with dimensional foam adhesive.  The inside of the card is embellished with the Border of Jelly Beans (B252).

Both the blue panels are popped up on fun foam for dimension. The 3 pretty copper flowers are actually brads from my stash.
