Mom's Kitchen

Hi, friends!  I'm back with a paper pieced card using a darling stamp from the Great Impressions online store!  This was actually my mother in law's Mother's Day card, but I couldn't share it until now!  Take a peek...

This image, H194 Mom's Kitchen, was perfect for my MIL's Mother's Day card because our last name is Kitchen...well, I guess I thought it was clever. ;)  The image portion was paper pieced, and the stockings were colored in with glitter gel pen.  I also highlighted the sentiment portion of the stamp with glitter gel pens.

Some bits of bling were added for a feminine feel.  I like the way they coordinate with my color scheme and add a finished feeling.

I'm pleased to tell you that the card was a hit!  I was relieved, because paper piecing this image was not easy, lol!  What do you think of the finished product?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Another Birthday?

It's Saturday, and I'm back to share another fun creation for Great Impressions Stamps.

It seems like their releases just get cuter and cuter!

Today, the Great Impressions stamps that I used are:

D503 Another Birthday and

F611 Surprised Mouse.

Here's what I made with these darling new stamps:

I thought it would be fun to give this little mouse a floor to sit on, and a pretty painted wall.

When I see the card here on the screen, it almost looks like he's sitting on a wall, with a grassy field in front of him.  Oh well, I tried!!!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

Love, love, love this new stamp from Great Impressions 

J117 Mable and Vea Cruzn. 

I had fun coloring the image with copics. 

Then I added glossy glaze to the headlights, windshield and eyeglasses. 

I used the G426 whimsical cloud to create the sky background. 

I stamped just the word Wild from C478 WILD in the corner.

I added a die cut roadway for fun.

Spring Boots

Do you like to garden? When the weather finally warms up where I live I do love to be out among my flowers. I think this image is super sweet so I let it be the star of the show.

This image is called G522 Spring Boots and I knew I wanted to watercolor it. A bit of layering and dry embossing and I have a pretty card to send to someone special.

You're Fabulous + Flowers!

Hi, friends!  I'm back with a fun CAS card that uses some amazing stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I kept it super CAS and just did a bit of coloring, but I think this turned out beautifully!  Come and see...

I stamped the image, F358 Growing Tall Flowers, onto some white card and colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I added a bit of sparkle to the middle with some Stickles for a bit more texture and shine.

I added the image panel, along with a punched border, to a kraft card base.  I stamped my sentiment, C452 You're Fabulous, next to the image on the base.  

I decided against more bling to keep the card simple and easy to mail.  I really LOVE the way this turned out--the simple coloring looks amazing in real life!  What do you think about my creation for today?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Wow, I am desperately in need of some male birthday cards. 

So glad I have these new stamps from Great Impressions!

 I stamped the E870 Hound Dog with brown pigment ink and heat embossed the image. 

I used a square die to cut out the focal image. 

I added the setniment  D503 Another Year, also stamped with brown embossing ink and heat embossed.

 I used a banner and tag die to frame the images.

Born To Be Wild!

Hi, all!  I'm back with another card using a SUPER fun sentiment from the Great Impressions online store!  I was going to pair it with a sentiment, but I decided it could DEFINITELY stand on its own with some help from the right embellishments!  Take a gander...

This sentiment is NEW to the store this month.  It's called C478 Wild! and I just LOVE it!  Isn't the font fun?  I had some digital paper and rhinestones purchased from a recent convention that were PERFECT as accents for this sentiment!  A bit of ribbon up top helped to finish up the card.

I've got this paper in other colors, and I've got the rhinestones in gold and black, as well, so I think I might be experimenting with them in the near future!  What do you think of the final product?  I'd love to hear your opinion in the comments below!
