Today, I bring you a vision in denim. A little something for that country girl in all of us, a little bit of that boot scootin' boogie, line dancing princess 'cause Country Girls just rock!
Today's card uses E829 Hat and Boots. I thought it would be fun to make the image the center of a blue ribbon winner so I put it into a rosette. The layer behind the rosette is an embossed bit of cream card stock with some distress ink rubbed over it to show the paisley neckerchief design and finally a bit of fancy denim.
Here's hoping you have a boot scootin' weekend of your own.

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni
It's Joni and today I have a couple of new stamps from Great Impressions.
I paired the E829 Hat and Boots with E827 Really Cute Boots sentiment.
I paper pieced the Hat and Boots with Authntique DP.
I stamped the sentiment in Memento Potter' Clay ink on a paper cut with a fishtail die.
Then I added some flat enamel dots for accents.
I rounded the top right corner.

Easter Nest
Easter is coming and Spring is in the air. Yesterday we had weather into the high 70's and today we have a chance of snow. Yes, it's definitely Springtime in Missouri.
I have an Easter card for you today, the first of the season for me. I fell in love with Great Impression's sweet Easter Chicks the moment I saw it. I could hardly wait to use it. So here it is.
I kept it fairly simple this time. I didn't want any design paper to overwhelm this wonder image so I pulled colors from the image and embossed them on card stock. Even the little bunny punches are embossed.
See you next Friday,
Mary Anne

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni
Hi, it's Joni.
Today I actually tried my hand at a CAS card.
Today I actually tried my hand at a CAS card.
Yes, this card only has only one layer.
I used a speckled white card stock for interest.
I embossed a couple of lines across the bottom of the card.
I stamped the F575 Vintage Fan in black ink in the bottom corner and the B239 Biggest Fan sentiment in the top right corner.
A trio of enamel dots accent the card.
I have to say I like this look!

Inspiration Tuesday with Carolyn
Hi ya GI peeps, It's Tuesday and it's another
Inspiration Day from me!
For my teeny, tiny card I used Hummingbird C383. I've never done a teeny card but this stamp is so cute all by itself that I thought I would give it a go. I stamped the image in white embossing ink on kraft paper then used a pink enamel embossing powder. I cut out the image and used a pop up dot for added dimension. Lastly I added 2 cute little crystal embellies. A simple card that highlights just the stamp.

Spring Sale!
Time for a Tag
Today, I am bringing you a not so simple tag. It doesn't look like it but this took a while to create.
I started with a plain packing tag and then used glimmer mist and a stencil of butterflies to lay down my first layer. The second layer is pearl embossing paste with a brick wall stencil. I then used pink distress ink on that and distressed the edges of the tag as well. The next layer was a bit of raveled bleached burlap.
Now comes the stamping. I used C415 Rose Time Piece and stamped it three times. I colored it and then cut it out and layered the different bits. The bottom layer was covered with Gold stickles and the top, the watch face has a layer of crystal lacquer to look like a watch crystal. Each layer was popped using dimensionals. Finally I threaded a bit of old chain through the the top of the watch so it would look like a watch chain.
I added a flower sprig tied with some torn lace and a pretty bird to perch over the bleached burlap. I was thinking I might like a pin through the lace tie when I found a pretty pink leaf corsage pin.
Next up was my last bit of stamping. The sentiment, D445 Patience, seemed perfect to go with the C415 Rose Time Piece. I stamped it on a bit of scrap cardstock and then distressed the edges and added some smeared pink stickles to the sides.
The final layer for this tag was a crepe paper ruffle added across the bottom. Then I added some torn lace to the top and called it done.
See you next Friday, in the meantime, go create something beautiful.
