Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

It's Joni.
Well it is finally warming up here in NH. 
So maybe we can Enjoy the Day.

 I stamped the main focal image: H196 Garden Shed with Tuxedo black ink and colored it in with copics. 
 I used part of the G483 Tags Rubber greeting to make the sentiment. 

With some dies I created the background scenery.

Happy Tuesday!

Today I am going to share a project with you

that is simple and sweet.

I've always loved stamps that have floral

images. But sometimes I find that some of the 

stamps are way too busy to try to color.

I like easily colorable...is that a word and this

stamp is one I LOVE.

This stamp is called Watering Can Bouquet G302. I like the variety of different

types of flowers and that the image also includes a watering can. It's picture perfect!

I colored this up using Prismacolor pencils and a turpenoid solution.

Tall Tulips

Easter Tag

Here's a pretty little Easter Tag using Great Impressions C389 Fresh Eggs which is a darling little stamp that looks lovely on a tag or in the enter of a medallion of a card or even used as a all over background stamp.  This stamp is versatile too.  It can be used for Easter or for a country theme.

I really enjoyed coloring all the little eggs for this one.  They remind me of those little plastic eggs that children love hunting on Easter morning.

Shabby Easter Greetings

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another card featuring stamps from the Great Impressions store!  This time I have a vintage/shabby Easter card!  Make sure to grab these images from the store as soon as possible so that you can make a few of these before the holiday hits! :)

Products used: E747 Easter Greetings, G452 Easter Lily.

I stamped the lily image onto some patterned paper before distressing the paper and inking the edges of it.  The egg image was stamped onto white natural card and then colored in with light inks.  I distressed and inked the edge, added some Crackle Accents, and paper pieced the banner.  I layered the egg panel on top of some gauze and then added a fun floral spray in the corner to top it all off.

Inspiration Tuesday with Carolyn

Happy Tuesday GI fans! Today is my day to bring you 

a little inspiration. I couldn't resist making a little

Spring card for a little encouragement to Mother Nature!

This stamp is called Spring Boots F545 and can be found here. I decided

to pair it up with some checked paper that reminded me of a picnic cloth

and I added some bling, ribbons and a wee little lady bug.

I colored up the boots with Prismacolor pencils and the flowers I used

Copic markers.

Easter Packaging

With our current Spring Celebrations challenge in mind, I thought it would be fun to create an Easter Package for one of my kiddos for Easter!

I used the Cursive Happy Easter (C430) sentiment!
I then stamped the Basket of Bunnies (F543) image, and just cut out the eggs to add to my banner!

Easter Basket

It's another fabulous Friday and I have another Easter Card for you today.  This time I used the beautiful F518 Easter Basket stamp.   I am having a ball with this charming stamp.  It's one of those stamps that works well in many different styles of card.  I have used it on kraft paper for a country look, with fancy dies for an elegant look and here I have used a little design paper and a simple egg die cut to keep the focus on the image.

The different layers of this card are each individually popped and the basket image is colored twice. One layer was die cut on the egg and then embossed and the second was fussy cut and popped on top of the first image.  This really creates a nice three dimensional effect.  To finish off this card, all the edges of each layer were outlined in crystal stickles and all the eggs were also covered in stickles.

Spring Flowers!

Hello, all!  I hope your week is going well!  :)  Today I've got a lovely springtime card that uses stamps from the Great Impressions store.  Come take a peek!  I think you'll love the blue jars I created! :)

Here's the card~

Detail~

Product used: G363 Spring Floral Jars.

To create the blue mason jars, I stamped the image onto my white cardstock and then colored in the images with Sakura glitter gel pens.  I then stamped the image a second time onto some vellum, colored the vellum blue with china ink (a Faber Castell marker), cut out the jars, and added them to the image!  Voila!  I LOVE the way this turned out! :)

Coloring Fur Tutorial

 1. Stamp image F570 - Teddy Bearing Flowers on Xpress It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

 

 2. These are the copic markers I chose to color the fur.

 3. Using long strokes, start at outer edge of image and pull marker toward center of image using darkest color E29.

 4. Overlapping a bit, continue the long stroke with E27.

 5. Repeat with E25.

 6. Fill in center of face with E21, blending. Then I go back and repeat the process again filling in all the white spots.

 7. Repeat the whole process on the body.

 

8. This is the finished bear.

I love this stamp, it's so versatile. I colored it
up using Copics and used my stash of flowers
