Thoughts

Hello! Leah here and I am very happy to be back at Great Impressions! Today I have a card to share with you that uses just one image stamp and a sentiment.

I think using a monochrome color scheme is very elegant so I chose to go with a navy blue and created my own background using the very pretty  D281 Berry Sprig stamp.

For my sentiment I first cut a strip of navy blue cardstock and decided to heat emboss my sentiment, B176 Thoughts, in white. I added a row of sequins and a bit of twine to finish it off. I hope you enjoyed my card today and thanks for joining me!

Christmas Tag

Hey, y'all!  I hope everyone is having a great week and a wonderful day!  I'm back today with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I've got a Christmas tag to share with you--it's NEVER too early to start holiday crafting!!!

More detail photos can be found on my personal blog HERE.

For my focal panel, I did a little collage stamping with G140 Pine Branch and D281 Berry Sprig.  I find that when I do collage stamping, it's best to employ generational stamping as well.  This adds more texture to your panel.  I finished this portion of the tag by sponging the edges and adding part of F249 Warmest Greetings, embossed in sparkly black, as my sentiment.  A few pearls were the perfect elegant accent to highlight this beautiful sentiment.

After that, all that was left was to add my stamped and embossed panel to the glittery red tag base!  Some black stitched ribbon tied in the black sentiment and matting from the tag.  I love the final product!  I'm one tag closer to being done with my holiday crafting now! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to  play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Collage Stamping

Hi, friends!  It's another Thursday and I've got a new video tutorial to share with you!!!  This week's technique is called COLLAGE STAMPING and I've decided to make a holiday tag to go along with this particular technique.

Here are the supplies you'll need for this week's technique:
Here's a photo of my finished tag~

And here's the video tutorial~

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at this week's video!  I hope you enjoy trying your hand at collage stamping and that you grab the supplies for the next technique we'll be learning--FROSTED IMAGE!

Here is a list of supplies you'll need for that technique:
  • H171 Snowflake Wreath
  • D397 Winter Wonderland
  • Neutral cardstock (the slower ink dries on it, the better)
  • White pigment ink
  • Desired colored inks (I'm using dark blue)
  • Ribbon and other embellishments to finish your project
Join me again next week for another project using these fabulous stamps--I'll have a Thanksgiving creation to share with you then!  In just two more weeks, another video tutorial!  HUGS and merry stamping to you all! :)
