Coloring Fur Tutorial

 1. Stamp image F570 - Teddy Bearing Flowers on Xpress It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

 

 2. These are the copic markers I chose to color the fur.

 3. Using long strokes, start at outer edge of image and pull marker toward center of image using darkest color E29.

 4. Overlapping a bit, continue the long stroke with E27.

 5. Repeat with E25.

 6. Fill in center of face with E21, blending. Then I go back and repeat the process again filling in all the white spots.

 7. Repeat the whole process on the body.

 

8. This is the finished bear.

 I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink unto Xpress It Blending Card. 

Then I colored him in with copics.

 I airbrushed the background. 

 I layered him up with some dies. 

I added a couple of layers of lace and trim for the bottom border.

Furry (or not ) Friends: Part I

Happy Sunday, friends!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend!  I've got a few more cards to share with you today that use some more of our most recent release.  Again, these are both made by the talented Stamp of the Month designers that live in the great state of Washington!  You can find out more about the Stamp of the Month club HERE. :)  For the next two weeks, you're going to see some creations made with images of some furry (and non-furry) friends!

Products used: F570 Teddy Bearing Flowers, G497 Fun Flower Corner

This little bear is just a doll, isn't he?!  And the floral corner really works well with this image--perfect fit!

Next up, Birthday Turtle~

Products used: E822 Birthday Turtle, C457 So Slow

Isn't he darling?!  I LOVE the way the shell is colored--so bright and happy!  He'd make it totally ok that you missed your special someone's day! ;)
