Bathing with Friends

Okay...just in case you haven't been by our blog this week...the Great Impressions Online Store is officially OPEN! (Just click HERE to order your favorite Great Impressions Stamps!)

Want to receive a 10% discount on your entire order? Use Promotion Code: GIB212 (This Promotion is only good through February - so don't wait...finish reading this post then head on over to the online store with your list!)

Simple. Unadorned. No frills. No matter my intentions, I have a difficult time creating simple cards. Today's card is no exception!

Now that Valentine's Day is over I can start thinking ahead to more Spring themed cards...lucky me that February's Stamp of the Month stamps made this an easy shift! The two stamps I used on this project are Spring Bird Bath (F519) and Friends (E748).

I wanted this bird bath to be a little vintage, a little worn and well loved, so out came the Copics and the Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy (again, yes, I know - I love this stuff!)

Here's a close up of the bird bath...

Basically, I stamped the image 4 times (once on scraps for the birds), cut parts out of 3 and layered them to give the image more depth. These birds are so darn cute! Frolicking comes to mind...don't you think?

Okay...don't want to keep you too long today...get comfortable, click on over and take a look around...you won't be disappointed - there's even a wish list feature you can use once you sign up!

Thanks for stopping by today...

Inky hugs,
Angi

Love the crackle look - actually I do love the Distress Rock Candy! I didn't guess it was the Rock Candy though because it looks glossy to me.
