Vintage Big Wheel

Happy Friday and the day after Thanksgiving everyone. Thanks for taking the time from your "Black Friday" shopping  to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Blog.

We are having a sale as well. It's free shipping on orders over $25. So jump over to the online store and pick-up your Christmas stamps or even the one I am showing today.

This card is using the "vintage big wheel E683".  I stamped the bicycle in midnight muse and then used a Spellbinder circle die to cut it out. Layered that on another Spellbinder scalloped circle die and then layered that on a doily die cut from more mustard cardstock.

My pennants are from Spellbinders. I added some more mustard buttons in the corner and punched a razzleberry butterfly to complete my card.

Well that's my card for today. So until next time.......inky hugs.

~The Journey~

Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Blog. If you have any plans for the week-end, I hope it's something fun.

For my card today, I am using the vintage big wheel image - E683 and the sentiment is "it's all about the journey" - D406. I really like this image and sentiment and am pleased with how my card turned out. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the sentiment on 2 lines.

I like how you accentuate an image by using a die cut to do some layering. Hope you like it as well. That's it for my post today so until next time..........

The Journey

I am lying poolside right now in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona.
Joined the DH on a business trip.  He is doing the business
and I am enjoying all the perks!  (lol!)

My card today has a lovely nostalgic feel to it, brought on by the water color effect I created.  Actually no water was used....but I did pick up a little supply of brand new Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  For the look I achieved I colored directly on to my stamps using
four markers.  Then I "huffed" on it and stamped.

I love how this turned out!
It looks like I spent a long time coloring, when in fact
it took me about ten minutes to whip up the entire card!  I curved
my sentiment on the stamping block before coloring
in keeping with the softer look of the card.
With the new Stickable Great Impressions Stamps it's a breeze!

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to pop in tomorrow
to see what lovely-ness Deloris has up her sleeve!

Hugs,
