Christmas Gift Giving

Happy Friday Great Impressions Stamp Friends!

Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap 'n Make Cards to share a past card that I really like and want to show off again!!

Being that it's the last week of July, I decided to think "Christmas" to go along with the saying "Christmas in July!"

Have you started your Christmas cards?
GI has a ton of adorable Christmas stamps to choose from!!

I really like this gift packaging I created:

I used the adorable Snowman Fun (H188) stamp for my main image!  As well as the Snowflake Swirl Background (J105)!!

I used both the Have Yourself (E512) and Snowflake Cluster (A71) for the inside!

What a beautiful gift package!!

Unfortunately, this is my last post with GI for now!  Thanks for everything GI!  Just need to step back for awhile to focus on our current life projects!!

Frame Technique

Happy Monday Great Impressions Stamp Friends!

Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap 'n Make Cards here today to share a technique with you!!

So along with loving stamps, we also all love dies!
I am so used to always using dies to cut out my images to use for my cards.

Why not use the negative area for a change?
Instead of always using the intended shape!

Frame It Technique

First, start by collecting your supplies:
Not many needed for this technique!
Stamped image on 4" by 5 1/4" piece of paper, another piece the same size, your die shape you want to work with and masking tape.

Next, stamp your image on one of the pieces of paper (which I already did as seen above).
Color as desired.  I finished mine after I had this technique finished.

Put a piece of masking tape on the top and bottom of the die facing up, just like the cutting edge.
Move it around till you find how you would like it to look.

Place the other piece of cardstock lightly on top.
Run through your die cutting machine.

As seen now, you have created a frame for the stamped image!  As well as having an oval, which you can save to stamp an image on later.

Now you are ready to decorate your card!!

Here is my finished card:
I love how it turned out!

I used the adorable new J114 Magical Snowman!
For the upper left I used the J105 Snowflake Swirl Background and for the lower right I used the A71 Snowflake Cluster to add the perfect touch!!

I used the D397 Winter Wonderland for my sentiment.

Try it for yourself!  Super fun and easy!

Friday Fun with Christmas Tags

Hello Everybody!

Katy here, and today I am sharing with you 2 tags that I made using stamps from the Great Impressions Store.

For these two Christmas tags I used the following stamps: B171 To & FromE774 Snow Adorable, and A71 Snowflake Cluster.

I used a tacky sheet adhesive and laid it over a piece of white cardstock.  I cut out the tags using the die cut machine.  Then I took off the protective layer and sprinkled a micro glitter over the entire surface.  I used Ranger's Archival Ink to stamp on top of the glitter.  Then I colored these cute snowmen with Copic Markers.  (You can kind of see the light hitting parts of the glitter.)

The Red Hat Snowman is outlined in red stickles and has the Snowflake Cluster stamp stamped on it about four times.  The Green Scarf Snowman is outlined with Ranger's White Enamel Accents.

These tags aren't complete until we know who they are To and From!

Do you like to make Christmas Tags?  It's one of my favorite things to make this time of year!  :)

GI & DV Christmas Package

Happy Monday Great Impressions Stamp Friends!

Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap 'n Make Cards here today to share my project I created for the Great Impressions and Die Versions Blog Hop!

I had so much fun creating this project!!!

For my main image, I used the adorable Snowman Fun (H188) stamp!
I just love snowman images!!
I thought it was the perfect image to use to add some of the die cut Wee Petites - Snow Flurries snowflakes too!

Behind the image, I have some layers, which I stamped the Snowflake Swirl Background (J105) on the top and bottom of the patterned paper, I also then added a strip from the die cut Whispers - Bubbles Background!

And one more photo of the inside panel:
I love the Have Yourself (E512) sentiment, which is what I used for the inside of this gift box, along with using the Snowflake Cluster (A71) stamp to add snowflakes around the sentiment!

Fun part is I masked the Have Yourself (E512) sentiment, so that the "Merry" and "Christmas" didn't stamp! Gave me the chance to use the awesome Sweet Wordlets - Merry Christmas die!  The die works perfectly with the sentiment!!  Love it!!

We sure hope you've enjoyed all of our lovely projects!!
