Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Blog. Well, it's officially spring on the calendars and our tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and crocus have poked through the ground. But, we are still having snow and really cold temps in the Pittsburgh area. I am so ready for warmer weather. Hopefully, not too much longer (lol)!!
Anyway onto my card for today. For the past 2 Friday posts, I have been showing masculine cards here and here. I have created another one this week as well.
You can dress up a guy card so easily with dies. For this one I decided to make a shaped card using an eyelet circle die. It's not girly and gives a great look to a guy card. Plus the colors I chose (mustard and turquoise) have a masculine feel to them when paired together.
My cupcake image is the Great Impressions Stamp E524 and is available at the online store. I paper pieced the image and fussy cut it for layering on another die. I sponged the cardstock while it was still in the die. It helps to define the die and leaves a nice looking edge. The candle and flame I colored with markers.
My sentiment is the Great Impressions Stamp "just because you're you- F200". I used just the "happy birthday" part of the sentiment. And to place it where I wanted it, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig.
That's it for me this Friday. Hope you have a great week-end and I will see you back here next Friday.

Masculine Birthday
Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Blog. Another week-end is upon us. Hope you have some fun plans.
It's going to be cold and snow showers here. But it can't stay like his forever. Spring is here after all (lol)!!
Last Friday I posted a masculine card and decided to make another one for this week. I often hear stampers say that they are the more difficult ones to make. I say keep your design simple and don't add a lot of frills. Guys really aren't into ribbons and lace.
My card is using the Great Impressions Stamp "just because you're you-F200". I think its perfect for a masculine card and even those more difficult teen boy cards.
I selected some bright patterned paper and used the Sizzix top note die to cut it. On the sentiment panel I added 2 pennant flags and a button. Card done and just waiting for a guy birthday to roll around to send it off.
That's it for me for this Friday. See you next week.
