Under the Sea

      I started this card by stamping and masking three different Great Impression stamps; G335 Sea Turtles, E651 Sea Anemones and  F454 Swimming Turtles  Next I used a brayer to create my sea floor and my sea using several different dye inks.  After brayering, I stamped in the sea floor using F270 Sea Shore Stamp.  

    After all that brayering and stamping I started coloring in my images, using my fav Prisma pencils.  I made several extra images so that I could pop all the turtles, some twice, as well as the flowering anemones and some shells.  I added in some white highlights using a white paint pen and then added some crystal Stickles and some shimmer with my glitter pen. I then inked the edges with some dark brown ink and called it done.

     The final step was to pop the scene and mat it onto a piece of turquoise blue paper.

Color Me Happy

I colored the image with copics then die cut some layers to add interest. 

Flower was also made from a die. 

DP Is Doodlebug Springtime.

Inspiration Day with Carolyn

Hi ya peeps, today for my inspiration I* decided to create a simple card.

The snow is melted and the trees are starting to bud and the birds are 

chirping. I thought a spring card was in order for today.

The stamp is used is called Flowery Tree 9238 and it's a pretty

cool stamp. I decided to use one color for a soft look. I added a few

embellies and a pretty felt bird. A simple and spring like card.

I stamped the image in black on mint green card stock.

Inspiration day with Carolyn..

Hi ya peeps! 

It's my inspiration day and I wanted to share my take on triptych art.

I've been wanting to "cut up" a scene on a card for awhile now

and I finally did it but it's in four pieces and not three.

It's the thought that counts so I am pleased with the results.

I may have to create a couple of cards in the future to perfect

the technique. It's all about spacing, framing and choice of art.

The stamp I used is called F555 Bucket of Flowers.

I colored the image using Prismacolor pencils and used

typed words for the sentiment.

Easter in White

       Today I'm sharing a classic Easter tag using E747 Easter Greetings.  It's another of my favorite Easter stamps.  It works inside or on the outside of a card.  

     I stamped E747 Easter Greetings 4 times and colored then popped the different layers using dimensional tape.   After mounting it on beautiful Egg shaped die I added lots of sparkle with Stickles; I wish you could see how it absolutely shimmers in the light. Finally a pretty bow was added and now it's ready to be attached to a chocolate bunny or Easter Basket.  

Autism Awareness

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another card featuring stamps from the Great Impressions store!  This time I have a card that is for a cause that is near and dear to my heart--Autism Awareness.  April is Autism Awareness month and since I have worked with and am finishing my degree to be able to teach these kiddos, I felt I needed to bring attention to it this month somehow--and this image is PERFECT because the Autism Awareness symbol is a puzzle piece. :)

Well it is finally warming up here in NH. 
So maybe we can Enjoy the Day.

 I stamped the main focal image: H196 Garden Shed with Tuxedo black ink and colored it in with copics. 
 I used part of the G483 Tags Rubber greeting to make the sentiment. 

With some dies I created the background scenery.

Today I am going to share a project with you

that is simple and sweet.

I've always loved stamps that have floral

images. But sometimes I find that some of the 

stamps are way too busy to try to color.

I like easily colorable...is that a word and this

stamp is one I LOVE.

This stamp is called Watering Can Bouquet G302. I like the variety of different

types of flowers and that the image also includes a watering can. It's picture perfect!

I colored this up using Prismacolor pencils and a turpenoid solution.

Easter Tag

Here's a pretty little Easter Tag using Great Impressions C389 Fresh Eggs which is a darling little stamp that looks lovely on a tag or in the enter of a medallion of a card or even used as a all over background stamp.  This stamp is versatile too.  It can be used for Easter or for a country theme.

I really enjoyed coloring all the little eggs for this one.  They remind me of those little plastic eggs that children love hunting on Easter morning.

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another card featuring stamps from the Great Impressions store!  This time I have a vintage/shabby Easter card!  Make sure to grab these images from the store as soon as possible so that you can make a few of these before the holiday hits! :)

Products used: E747 Easter Greetings, G452 Easter Lily.

I stamped the lily image onto some patterned paper before distressing the paper and inking the edges of it.  The egg image was stamped onto white natural card and then colored in with light inks.  I distressed and inked the edge, added some Crackle Accents, and paper pieced the banner.  I layered the egg panel on top of some gauze and then added a fun floral spray in the corner to top it all off.

Happy Tuesday GI fans! Today is my day to bring you 

a little inspiration. I couldn't resist making a little

Spring card for a little encouragement to Mother Nature!

This stamp is called Spring Boots F545 and can be found here. I decided

to pair it up with some checked paper that reminded me of a picnic cloth

and I added some bling, ribbons and a wee little lady bug.

I colored up the boots with Prismacolor pencils and the flowers I used

Copic markers.
