No lounging in jammies and bunny slippers for me this morning..I am busy playing Gwamma the Easter Bunny! I do hope you are all having a great Easter today. The weather is warm and beautiful here in Oregon-the perfect weather for eggie hunting!
I was ready to switch off to some warm weather stamping today...wishing I was at the beach with my toes in the sand. I used Juggling Seal with the Having a Ball sentiment. I knew when I saw it that I would have to set this little seal in a beach scene.
I cut the white doily base with my Silhouette, adding the beach and sky papers next. I stamped the seal and sentiment on the papers and then stamped the seal/ball again and cut them out and added them over the original. That way you still get the movement marks and little sand pebbles around the seal. The beach balls are added on pop dots for a little fun dimension. I added the umbrella and sun to finish off the beachy scene.
We have a Design Team call going on, so don't miss out should you be interested!
Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Blog. Well, it's officially spring on the calendars and our tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and crocus have poked through the ground. But, we are still having snow and really cold temps in the Pittsburgh area. I am so ready for warmer weather. Hopefully, not too much longer (lol)!!
Anyway onto my card for today. For the past 2 Friday posts, I have been showing masculine cards here andhere. I have created another one this week as well.
You can dress up a guy card so easily with dies. For this one I decided to make a shaped card using an eyelet circle die. It's not girly and gives a great look to a guy card. Plus the colors I chose (mustard and turquoise) have a masculine feel to them when paired together.
My cupcake image is the Great Impressions StampE524 and is available at the online store. I paper pieced the image and fussy cut it for layering on another die. I sponged the cardstock while it was still in the die. It helps to define the die and leaves a nice looking edge. The candle and flame I colored with markers.
My sentiment is the Great Impressions Stamp "just because you're you- F200".I used just the "happy birthday" part of the sentiment. And to place it where I wanted it, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig.
That's it for me this Friday. Hope you have a great week-end and I will see you back here next Friday.
Wow, where has the week gone? Here it is Wednesday already and the last of my posts as the March Guest Designer for Great Impressions Stamps. I have enjoyed my time with this talented group of ladies.
I have a card to share with you today that uses two stamps that I have been waiting to get inked.
I got my inspiration from the current issue of PaperCrafts magazine. They had a section in there called Country Fresh. Did you know that Great Impressions has some FABULOUS stamps that fit into this category.
I used the Great Impressions StampsVintage Milk Box F530 found under the Miscellaneous category on the shopping list and Simple Life A140 found under the Sentiment category. I paired this image up with the paper from My Mind's Eye- Dilly Dally. I used the circle Spellbinders die, a little Distressed Ink, some simple stitching and then popped them up, to give it a little dimension. Four little gems are in the center of the flowers.
Hmmmm.... I think we all could use a little dose of the simple life, once in a while.
Good morning! I have a trio of cards to share today using two fantastic stamps from Great Impressions.
I never seem to have enough sympathy cards on hand, and the stalk of
wheat paired with a lovely sentiment (and font) seemed like the perfect
match.
(Supplies - Stamps: (Great Impressions) Wheat, With Sympathy.
Ink: (Papertrey Ink) Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Dark Chocolate.
(Stampin' Up!) More Mustard. Cardstock: (Wplus9) Oatmeal. (Stampin' Up!)
Early Espresso textured cardstock. Twine: Papertrey Ink.
Love the wheat stamp. I will be pulling it out again, soon! And don't forget about our monthly challenge... only 5 days left to enter.
My mojo is still on hiatus. I tried to do something a bit different for me to see if I could bring it back. I keep this card pretty CAS and used some of my stash of washi tape. Look – no dp! I thought I would let this little mouse take center stage.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous week!
It's taking me a wee bit of time to get used to changing over to Jammie day Sunday- but here I am!
Today I am showing off this colorful birthday card I made using Friendship Grows. I left off the sentiment because I wanted this to be a birthday card. I actually had a different stamp in mind when I started this card, but this little stamp kept calling my name-"use me, use me instead"!
I have used this image HERE for Valentines Day and HERE with the full sentiment, so you can see it is a very versatile stamp!
I saw this very fun technique on the Silhouette blog where you can use pens in your cutting machine to get the dashes around the edges of your cardstock. It was not my steady (ahem) hand drawing those dashes - but a very fun design indeed.
I do not have washi tape as suggested in the tutorial, so I used strips of bright and cheerful Bo Bunny paper which included the Happy Birthday Sentiment. The scalloped base was also cut on my Silhouette.
I hope you can take a few minutes and browse the Great Impressions Stamps Blog. We post lots new inspiration during the week!

Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Blog. Another week-end is upon us. Hope you have some fun plans.
It's going to be cold and snow showers here. But it can't stay like his forever. Spring is here after all (lol)!!
Last Friday I posted a masculine card and decided to make another one for this week. I often hear stampers say that they are the more difficult ones to make. I say keep your design simple and don't add a lot of frills. Guys really aren't into ribbons and lace.
My card is using the Great Impressions Stamp"just because you're you-F200". I think its perfect for a masculine card and even those more difficult teen boy cards.
I selected some bright patterned paper and used the Sizzix top note die to cut it. On the sentiment panel I added 2 pennant flags and a button. Card done and just waiting for a guy birthday to roll around to send it off.
That's it for me for this Friday. See you next week.

Good morning and happy Wednesday to you all.
Well, SPRING IS HERE. Yeah, finally, well for some of us. Unfortunately, winter is still lingering on for some of our readers. Some will still be wearing snow boots and others will be donning the rain boots. BUT, the tulips will be blooming soon.
And with that thought, I want to share this special card with you.
I used my Copic and Spectrum Noir marker to color the image. I fussy cut the boots and popped them up on circles cut with the Spellbinders dies. I also stamped extra butterflies from the boots to use as embellishments.
Easel cards are great to use as seasonal decoration and for those that just love to display greeting cards.
Thanks for joining us today. Have a great day and happy 1st day of spring.
Good morning! A few weeks ago Jenny
posted a card and tag I created on Facebook to debut our new stamps,
but I wanted to post them here as well. These gorgeous stamps are now available & are so much fun to work with!
This is the second time I used this stamp... the first was to create this card. Same stamp, two completely different looks.
Hello and Happy Monday! Today is my day to post on the Great Impressions Stamps blog.
Although it is getting a bit warmer and it looks like spring is on its way, I really felt like making a warm, summery card this weekend. Sunflowers always make me think of warm August and September days so I inked up my new Sunflower Garden (G196) from Great Impressions Stamps.
I kept my card relatively CAS to show off this beautiful stamp. I added a bit of rustic texture by using a embossing plate with chicken wire texture and some burlap twine.
I hope you have a fabulous week! Thank you for stopping by!

Yes, It is time to show off all my cute little Easter critters today!!! (I tried not to eat all the jelly beans before the pictures were finished LOL)
Today is Jammie Day Sunday for Great Impression Stamps, so pull up your chair and browse a wee bit! Don't forget your oaties and cocoa-I have lots of pics to peek at!!!
I always make lots of fun little Easter treat holders to give out, so today you are seeing this cute little egg basket I cut with my Silhouette-fast and east. I then colored up my critters and attached them with pop dots. You will recognize some of these critters as I am more than happy to give my stamps lots of love!
Which one is your favorite???? I couldn't decide...
Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Stamps Blog. Another week-end is almost upon us. Hope you have some fun plans.
We are expecting snow here and if it warms up on Sunday it will turn to rain. It's only 5 more days until spring. I am ready to let go of our winter weather and welcome somewhat warmer days. How about you??
I decided to make my card today a masculine one and this sentiment stamp from Great Impressions Stamps is a good one for this type of card. The stamp is "catch a falling star E482". As soon as I saw this stamp I had a card of this type in mind.
I used kraft patterned paper on my first layer and embossed it with my Cuttlebug stars embossing folder. On the next layer I re-purposed some corrugated paper that came in a package. You could also pull out your paper crimper for the same effect.
Stamped my sentiment on kraft card stock and added a black panel underneath. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch that has a more masculine feel to it.
To complete the card, I punched some stars and added some licorice bakers twine. Well that's it for me today. See you next Friday.
Hi friends. Joan , here today, with the Wednesday Great Impressions blog. I am half way though my March Guest Designer monthly spot and I had such a hard time narrowing down which image I would use for today's card. Have you checked out the Great Impressions online store? Well, it was there, that I found Lizzy. When I first saw this stamp, I thought of all the occasions that I could use her. Valentines, Birthday, Get Well, Mother's Day, well, you get the idea.
My image is Great Impressions Lizzy J109.
The sentiment is preprinted from a My Mind's Eye older calendar kit.
My card measures 5 x 6 1/2. I used My Minds Eye Lavender 6x6 paper pad for this project.
I started by choosing a patterned piece for Lizzy's dress. The yellow was girly and delicate.
I stamped her image on white cardstock twice (one for the whole image and one for the arm and flower) and once on the yellow to paper pieced the dress. Lizzy is fussy cut out and popped up. I colored her with my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.
The clouds are a die from My Favorite Things.
I did some stitching around the panels. Use a Stampin Up die to cut the eyelet trim and topped it off with a dark red ribbon.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing Lizzy in yellow today. I know that this stamp will see a lot of ink in the future. Who knows, next time I may just color her dress with markers.
Have you have had time to make a card or project for the Monthly Challenge "Going Green/ Recycle"? There is still plenty of time to submit your card.
Hey there! I was looking through my Great Impressions Stamps
last night & I immediately picked up this Happy Birthday stamp to
work with. We have several birthdays in March and April (including
mine... today!), and I love having birthday cards on hand so I'm not
rushing around at the last minute trying to create the perfect card.
I am noticing a lot of cards with elements stamped or placed on an angle (like this card
by Erin Lincoln), and I wanted to incorporate that trend onto my card. I
trimmed the light blue cardstock then placed my strips of paper on top,
making sure each piece hung off the page. After all my strips were
placed I trimmed the excess paper off. I placed the banner with the
embossed "Happy Birthday"
stamp on my card last. And has anyone else discovered colored embossing
powder? For this card I used Tangerine Tango embossing powder (from
Stampin' Up!); the fine powder embosses sentiments perfectly:
My husband and I are
off to dinner and a movie (Silver Linings Playbook!) tonight. And I plan
on having my favorite drink (Long Island Iced Tea) and eating cake. I'm
not too picky about the order of events, but alcohol and cake will be
involved. :)
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? It looks like spring is finally on the way. We had warmer (high 30’s) temps, rain and fog. The snow is all melting away and some of the migratory birds have come back. Hurray! Soon it will be sandal weather!
This is Cheryl from Shestamps. This pup caught my eye and I just had to color him up. Look at that face! Isn’t he sweet?
When digging through my paper stash, these old October Afternoon papers caught my eye. I like that the polka dots in the DP are repeated in his sling.
Don’t forget you still have plenty of time to enter the March Great Impressions Stamps challenge. Our theme this month is “Going Green”. Interpret it as you will and link up your entry at the Great Impressions Stamps blog for your chance to win a $20 gift code to the Great Impression Stamps store. You can link up your entry, review the challenge rules and get some inspiration from the DT HERE.
I do hope you can switch you jammie day along with me-I will be posting on Sundays now...so grab your oaties and steaming hot cocoa and here we go.
I have always loved these little bunnies peeking out from their windows! Today I had lots of scraps on my desk and I picked up these polka dot papers and thought they looked fun together. Such sweet little paper pieced bunnies! I cut some 1/2 inch strips, and then cut the flag points with a square SU punch and glued the strips onto the white background piece. I used the cute little Happy Easter sentiment stamp again! Yep, I love it that much! This type of card is a great way to use up little bits of scraps.
Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Blog. Don't know about you but I am so ready for Spring.
We had 6" of snow here a couple of days ago and snow flurries all day yesterday. But the good news is that it's only 8 days until Spring officially hits the calendar.
Whoo-hoo the countdown continues (lol)!!
With Spring comes thoughts of Mother's Day and cards to celebrate the day. It's not to early to figure out what stamps you will need for your card making. I have some beautiful ones to show you today.
My card is using the "lace frame H212" and "cameo C414". These stamps paired with patterned paper make a great vintage card. So perfect for the special "mom" in your life.
I stamped them both in soft suede
ink and fussy cut the frame. Cutting it out was so easy. I layered them over poppy parade cardstock. I used the embossing folder "kassie's
brocade" on this panel.
My middle panel is soft suede
cardstock and over that I layered May Arts mesh ribbon and over that some poppy parade
ribbon. Added a bow with a flower center to complete my card.
Well, that's it for me this week. Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend. See you again next Friday.
Good morning friends.
My name is Joan ( athomewithjoan.blogspot. com) and I am the Great Impressions Guest Designer for the month of March. Each Wednesday I will be bringing a little something from my craft room to share with you.
Wow, did you see all those fantastic projects in our Spring Bunny Hop that was posted yesterday? I am amazed at the creativity and the fantastic images and sentiments that were used. I know I came away with a shopping list. If you missed the hop, you can still go and visit the design teams posts and then head over to the Great Impressions Stamps online store to shop.
I am still in the spring mode, so I have a fun card to show you today. I made this card with Easter in mind, but I realized that this image could be used for a baby card, too. My inspiration for this card came from the most recent issue (Mar/Apr) of Paper Crafts magazine. I made a few changes, but I was so inspired to use the hexagons and the darling bunny.
I stamped Great Impressions Stamps - Bunny Front( E783) onto a printed paper. Then I shaded with my brown copic marker and a touch of pink in the ears. I then fussy cut the bunny and popped him up on the die cut circles. I cut my hexagons with retired Creative Memories hexagon punch. The paper came from the new 6x6 paper pad collection from We R Memory Keepers called Simply Spring.
I popped up the one green hexagon and then added my bow. Now, wouldn't this be darling in a blue, pink or yellow theme for a new born? Or maybe some Easter egg paper to make an Easter card for a child?
Thanks for stopping by today.
Hello! Happy Monday! This is Cheryl from Shestamps.
I am still hoping and waiting for the early spring that the groundhog predicted. To help dispel the winter blues, I decided to make a spring-y card this week. I pulled out this sweet image, Watering Can (E670), and paired it up with some pretty, spring papers.
I once again die cut a Starbucks coffee sleeve to add some texture to my project. I love using these in my crafting and, I hate to admit it, often times have a cup sitting on my desk and ready to use.
Don’t forget to stop back to tomorrow when we kick off the Great Impressions Stamps Spring Bunny Hop. Hop along with us to see some gorgeous eye candy and your chance to win prizes!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week!
