 In fact, it is great for making an entire set of CAS cards.

 You will find a wonderful selection of sentiment stamps in the 

Great Impression Stamps Store, although for these cards I used computer generated sentiments.

With Sympathy

Happy weekend, fellow stamp lovers!  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.

I needed a sympathy card awhile back, and I wanted it to be beautiful.  I naturally reached for my Great Impressions Stamps to create it...

The Butterfly Frame (H226) and the With Sympathy (B206) seemed like a perfect combination.  I stamped the H226- Butterfly Frame onto Carta Bella Kraft card stock, then colored it with color pencils.  I then fussy cut the frame.

Leah here and today I have a pretty card to share with you that would be perfect for your mom or someone who has been like a mom to you.

This pretty frame image is called (H226) Butterfly Frame and I colored it with colored pencils and then trimmed it out. The sentiment I hand lettered. 

I added some machine stitching and ribbon to finish it off with a bow.

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Ellen here from In a World of Craft with my Great Impressions inspiration from the Great Impressions store! This week we are focusing on Mother’s Day so here is a Mother’s Day card for you!

Spring with GDT Leah Cornelius!

Hi, friends!  It's Mynn here to introduce you to the designer we are having as a guest here at Great Impressions for the month of May!  It's the very talented Leah Cornelius of Paper Blossoms!  We are so excited to have her, you've seen one of her cards last week for our monthly challenge, and she's back again today!  Let's see what she's got for us, shall we?

Hello! I'm excited to share some more Great Impressions projects with you today! First up I have a simple but elegant set of note cards to share with you.

 I started by cutting mats using a Spellbinders die and stamping the beautiful Butterfly Frame (H226)  in Memento ink so I could color each one with Copics. I changed up the colors for each one and for my sentiments I used the Tags (G483)  set and selectively inked just the sentiment leaving off the banner outline.

I didn't want to add lots of embellishing so I dry embossed the card base, added some distress ink to the frames and now have a pretty set of cards ready to give away.

For my next project I inked up the adorable Teddy With Flowers (F554) and made a tag set. I colored these with Copics and again used the Tags (G483) set for my sentiments. Wouldn't these look sweet on a gift? I hope you've enjoyed my projects today! Have a beautiful, creative day!

Guest Designer: Leah Cornelius + Her Take On Our Monthly Challenge!

Hi, friends!  It's Mynn here with a SPECIAL post for this first Sunday of the month!  I'm pleased to announce that we have an absolutely AMAZING guest designer with us for the month of May--Leah Cornelius of Paper Blossoms!  She's made not one but TWO amazing creations that follow this month's challenge and I KNOW you're gonna love them!  Take it away, Leah!

 Hello! I am so excited to share that I am the guest designer at the Great Impressions blog this month! They have a wide variety of fabulous stamps and I have had a wonderful time using some of them. My first post is to feature one of the past tutorials on the GI blog and use it on my cards. I chose to use the watercolor resist technique, which I just love. You can find the original tutorial here, (click!).

For my first card I used the lovely Flower Bouquet -J110 and stamped it in white embossing powder and then used watercolors to color my image. I purposefully went outside of the lines to give it a softer look. I also added a soft wash to the background. For my butterflies I stamped the Butterfly Frame -H226 focusing on just the butterfly and embossed it in white powder, watercolored it and fussy cut it out. My sentiment tag come from the super versatile set, Tags -G483. I actually cut my stamp apart so that each tag is a separate stamp and fussy cut it out. I heat embossed and watercolored it as well.

My second card uses the same technique of watercolor emboss resist but doing more of a background wash. I started by stamping the lovely Queen Ann Lace - E807 all over my kraft cardstock base in white embossing powder and then doing some vibrant colors for my wash. I love how the kraft paper deepens the bright colors and really makes the white pop. My sentiment is from Tags- G483. I hope you've enjoyed my cards today. Pace of Nature

   I have a very brightly colored card for you today.  It's actually out of my comfort zone of colors but, I have some new Gelatos and just had to play with them.  I specifically went with the orange and yellow palette to compliment this gorgeous Great Impressions stamp and sentiment.  Hard to believe but the stamp and the background are all made using the exact same Gelatos.

   I really like how the butterfly frame and the sentiment stamp compliment each other so well.  I double stamped the image so that I could cut out the butterfly for more dimension.  I also added copious amounts of Stickles because I just love sparkle.

     I also added butterflies to my die cut frames to keep with the butterfly theme of this card. The frames and corners come from two different die cut companies but I think they compliment each other very well and definitely compliment the shape of the butterfly frame.
 
      The stamps I used for today's card are H226 Butterfly Frame  and D445 Patience.
