The Whole Pumpkin Patch!

Good Morning and welcome to my Great Impressions jammie day post.  No  jammie morning for me today, I am off to my local papercrafting store to visit with a visiting designer from the Copic .  How fun is that?!

Today I am showing off two new fall release  stamps named Scarecrow and Friends along with a darling sentiment names Whole Patch(links below) . A sweet sentiment that reminds me that my little grandsons are definitely the cutest in the whole patch. These images would be perfect for a scrap page as well!

The scarecrow image is put together in several layers for some additional dimension as well. I chalked the pumpkins and added several of them with dimensionals too.

New Day Blessings

Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Blog. I hope you have liked all the samples we have posted this week with the new releases. I have another one to show you today.

My card is using 2 new stamps. The sentiment is "new day" - E770. Don't you just love the wording? I placed it inside the "sunflower tag" - H231. I thinks this is a perfect card for Thanksgiving. Also one that would be easy to make 4 or 5 quickly.

Here are some card details: My card base is chocolate chip and then I layered peach parfait and some patterned paper from Basic Grey's "Indian Summer " collection.

I used cajun craze ink on the sunflower tag & sentiment  and used a peach parfait marker for the flowers.

On the rectangle panel, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then added a flag pennant. This was cut from a Spellbinders die. To complete the card I punched 3 small circles from cajun craze cardstock.

Blessings Abound during Release Week!

I just love Release Week! Lots of inspiration and fun stuff! I'm waving today from my hotel in Burlington, NC.

Hubs and I are on a business/pleasure trip. This week I have been thinking about how blessed I am to be able to work and play with truly wonderful people...and wouldn't you know it, Great Impressions Stamps had the perfect stamps for me this week!

Isn't this Sunflower Background (G472) stamp, just gorgeous? It's stamped on kraft cardstock in Versamark Watermark ink, embossed in copper and then colored with Copics. I used it several times on this tag. See the stamped image on the distressed heart? It's also stamped in Versamark Watermark ink. Versamark produces a tone-on-tone effect, if you just let it dry after stamping. (It does take a little longer to dry than regular dye inks.)

Can you see where else I used the Sunflower Background stamp?

Look along the top edge of the tag. This time it's stamped with Versamark and then embossed with clear powder. Love it!

The Blessings (D452) sentiment is also part of this release and just what this tag needed. I forgot to write down what paper I used, but I think it's a Simple Stories line...added a little torn muslin and a few tiny staples and ribbons to finish it off.

I think I may have to make a few more of these along with a few loaves of something yummy. Are you in the baking mood? Fall is in the air!

Thankful Autumn

Hi there! Welcome to release week at Great Impressions Stamps. I have a CAS card and a cool fridge magnet to share today using two new Great Impressions stamps. First up is the card:

 (Supplies - Stamp: (Great Impressions Stamps) Fall Garden. Cardstock: (PTI) Rustic White, Dark Chocolate, Spring Rain. Patterned Paper: (PTI) Fine Linen Patterns Pack. Die: (PTI) Edgers Die #1. Other: Copic Markers, typewriter, baker's twine.)

The main image is so beautiful and detailed so I kept the colors and embellishments minimal. The artist of this stamp did an amazing job of capturing fall... I love it! I used my typewriter to create the sentiment strip.

Next up is a super easy fridge magnet using the new stamp Small Autumn. I die cut a frame using my Big Shot, then stamped the "Autumn" image on the bottom before coloring. This picture of my oldest son, Evan, and my sister is 5 years old... taken at a pumpkin patch in my home town. I trimmed the photo then sandwiched it between two frames, adhering it all together. Then I used an adhesive magnet on the back so it will stick to the fridge. Easy and oh so cute!

And here it is, on the refrigerator next to two other magnets... the little boy on the right is Evan now (age 6!) and Jack is on the left (age 3). The boys love to clutter up the fridge with various drawings, magnets, and pictures. The poor "x" on the left fell victim to our puppy, Rocket... I can still see the teeth marks!

Woo Hoo! Release Week Continues!

Hi Friends!

I have not one, but two brand spankin' new stamps to show to you today!

The first is this stylin' crow.  I adore the delicate leaf pattern on the body.

My puny sentiment is "thunk" up by me and computer generated.

My next card was so much fun for me to create!

I wanted to make my own background...so I played around

with different colored inks and patterns until I came up with this:

H233 Autumn Tree

The "blocked" background is actually the back of a wooden square stamp.

I inked it up and then spritzed on just a little spray of water then stamped, using three different colors.  Next I colored up the tree stamp with distress markers and stamped over the squares of color.  Finally, I added some sparkly Stickles on some of the leaves.  A snip of ribbon and a couple of Dew Drops for more dimension and done!

Sunflowers

Welcome to another release week. I am extremely excited for this release  for this month as I love fall colors and pumpkins. Especially my pumpkin spice lattes!!! Fall is so fun!

I kept my card simple using two of our newest stamps

Sunflower Frame (H232) and Gratitude (D451)

I colored the sunflower with copics and then embellished the card with a gold ribbon. I also used some sunflower paper from Bo Bunny's fall collection from last year.

Here is a close up. I really love this card and how it turned out.

Yeah! Release Week is Here!

Hello and welcome to Release Week friends!

The Design Team has been hard at work preparing to show you the latest and greatest at Great Impressions Stamps!  This month it's all about Fall, starting with this classic antique truck chuck full of all the delightful colors and scents of Autumn. This wonderful creation was done by our very own Erin using the stamp G471 Harvest Truck.  

I love how she made this into a birthday card for Dad.
 Quite the versatile stamp in that you can use it for many an occasion!

Be prepared to be wowed all week long with beautiful Fall colors and amazing stamps! Of course there will be stamping prizes along the way...

Blowing Wishes (with mini blog candy)

Good Morning and welcome to my Great Impressions jammie day post (with a little mini blog candy too)! 

I love this darling little bear, don't you? He looks so, so sweet-sure to make any 'sickie' feel better.

I wanted to make a get well card with a fall feel, so I chose these rusty papers-a perfect color scheme for a guy! I also used the Freshly Made Sketch #55. 

I tied a little silver leaf charm on to the attached ribbon and added the little bear up on dimensionals. This was an great sketch to use-made an easy CAS card.

Now for my little give away.

~The Journey~

Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Blog. If you have any plans for the week-end, I hope it's something fun.

For my card today, I am using the vintage big wheel image - E683 and the sentiment is "it's all about the journey" - D406. I really like this image and sentiment and am pleased with how my card turned out. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the sentiment on 2 lines.

I like how you accentuate an image by using a die cut to do some layering. Hope you like it as well. That's it for my post today so until next time..........

Creative Notebook

Do you ever have one of those crazy creative ideas in the middle of the night? I keep notebooks on my nightstand, in my purse, in my car...just in case. I know if I don't write an idea down as soon as possible, when I get a chance to make something I'll have forgotten that great idea.

The other day, I had an idea...

It involved the Great Impressions Stamp Very Creative (G439),

a few Copics, a Spica Pen or two, and some paper scraps...

a rub-on and a notebook!

Can't have too many of these. They make great gifts. I've been having fun using up paper scraps, stamps and orphaned rub-ons and stickers to make a few more notebooks.

Happy Hello

Hey everyone! I have a cheerful (and very pink!) card to share today. I pulled out Whimsical Mushrooms again, this time using a pink/blue/orange color scheme. The patterned paper has been in my stash for a long time... one of the first lines I picked up from Crate Paper.

He will not be anyone's dinner this year as he is just to cute to eat!
Erin has inked him up in such bright happy colors!
I love the bright turkey against the muted background!

I always thought Fall colors lend themselves
well to sympathy cards.  I choose a deep
yellow and Kraft for mine, and a white pigment ink for my image.  It really makes it pop!
A strand of twine and a few buttons were added for extra dimension.
(The outside buttons are actually a light brown) (grrr...)
The stamps I used are F506 Wheat and B205 Beautiful Life.
