Whimsical Thinking of You

Happy Friday, fellow stamp lovers!  Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. I've switched my posting day to Friday.  Woohoo!  It makes the weekend seem a bit closer! 

I have a whimsical card to share today, using 2 fun Great Impressions Stamps:

This card features F399 - Lacy Mushrooms and B195 - Playful Thinking of You.   I colored F399-Lacy Mushrooms with Copic markers. Even though it's a whimsical stamp, I tried for a somewhat realistic mushroom color.  Yes? No?  Maybe?

Happy Saturday, fellow stamp lovers!  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  I am happy to be back for another 6 months with Great Impressions Stamps!

I have a "thing" for Harry, the delightful hedgehog, found in the Great Impressions Stamps Store.  Today, he is riding in his own flower filled red wagon.

This card uses E875 - Harry with Daisies and B195 Playful Thinking of You.

I colored E875 - Harry with Daisies with Copic markers.  I cut the playful Thinking of You out with a cloud die to make the card more playful.

Thinking of You

Hi there! I have a card to share with you today that is perfect for sending to anyone on your mind.

I'm not sure what it is about jar images but I just love them :) This one is called(F616) Mason Jar and I stamped it onto watercolor paper and watercolored it and then trimmed it out. The sentiment is (B195) Playful Thinking of You. I added some sequins to dress it up a bit.

Thinking of Tulips...

Hi, friends!  I am unfortunately SUPER behind already for this week!  I blame my brother.  He just HAD to go and get married this weekend and ask me to do the photography. ;)  I'm kidding!  I LOVE my new SIL, and I am so happy for both of them! 

But I digress...because of that happy event, I am late today to share a new card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  My card today features one of my favorite line images and some bold colors.  Take a peek...

My image is F385 Stylistic Tulip.  I colored the outline image with markers before stamping, then added some liquid pearls to the center for added color and a more finished look.  The sentiment, B195 Playful Thinking of You, was stamped in a bright turquoise ink for some more color and fresheness.

Some faux stitching, ribbon, and a smattering of sequins finished this card off!  I added some yellow patterned paper to the card base, also faux stitched, to keep everything a bit more polished.  I hope you like this card as much as I do!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

Thinking of You Magical Snowman ...

Good morning and Happy Hump Day! Ruza here to share another project featuring the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

I fell in love with this adorable Magical Snowman (J114) when I saw him. He is so fun and can be used to create any type of card ... from Christmas to Birthday's, Thinking of You, Hello, etc. I used the Playful Thinking of You (B195) sentiment for today's card.

Our Magical Snowman (J114) was colored with Copic Markers. I paper-pieced hat and scarf, and airbrushed some light blue around him. The snow was created with whipped spackle, and I added a bit to his hat, scarf and arms.

April Showers...

Hello again, friends!  I'm back with another card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm featuring a fun spring image that I know you'll love as much as I do!  Come and take a peek...

I used F605 Rainy Day Harry as my focal image.  He was colored in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I think that a yellow raincoat is a fabulous choice--it reminds me of the raincoat I had as a child!  And hedgehogs are just so fun, don't you think?  Plus, come on!  That little birdie!!!

My sentiment, B195 Playful Thinking of You, was stamped and then punched and layered to look like a flower.  Because, you know, April showers bring May flowers! ;)

All of my elements were layered onto my card base and more layered flowers and leaves were added to finish it up.  I think this is so sweet--I hope you agree!  Please let me know what you think in the comments below!

Thinking Of You

Hello! Today I have a simple little card to share with you that uses the technique of coloring with your Copic markers on kraft cardstock. You have to be a bit more careful with the colors you choose as not all colors, especially the light ones, will show up. 

The cute image is called G503 Summertime Birdie and the sentiment is B195 Playful Thinking of You.

Pretty Flowers

Hello! I have a floral card for you today that uses one of my favorite images from Great Impressions. It's called J110 Flower Bouquet.

I decided to color with Copics this time and then trimmed out my image. My sentiment is called B195 Playful Thinking of You. When you want you sentiment to be on dry embossed paper the trick is to stamp first and then dry emboss ;) I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by.

Fall Watering Can

Hello Great Impressions fans :) Leah with you today. Are the leaves changing where you are? We don't have a lot of trees that change where I live, but we do have a few and they are very pretty. In my front yard we have a big maple tree and it's my favorite. For my card I pulled out the sweet Watering Can of Flowers (D362) image and made a fall card.

I also added some butterflies using the Flitting Butterflies (A32) and my sentiment is called Playful Thinking of You ( B195). I colored my image with Copic markers. I hope you like it!

Cracked Glass Tutorial

Hello Great Impressions fans! Leah with you today and I have a tutorial for you called Cracked Glass. You'll need some extra thick embossing powder (ETEP), Versa Mark ink, a heat gun, a stamped image, and access to a freezer. 

Here are my supplies and my stamped and colored imaged. I used the lovely Rose Bouquet (G416) and colored my image with Copics. I also added Distress ink around the edges of my die cut.

After your stamped image is done you will want to cover the entire panel with Versa Mark ink. I just pressed my die cut on the top of my ink pad and moved it around to cover the whole thing.

Then you cover the entire thing in your ETEP and heat. This part takes a bit of quick work, but while the powder is still hot sprinkle more on top and heat again. Repeat several times. For mine I did this 4 times.

 Your die cut will be very warm by this time. To get the cracked glass look you'll want to put your stamped panel into your freezer. Leave it in there for about 5 minutes. You paper will likely be curled a bit but that's okay. After you take it out of the freezer you gently bend the paper in all different directions and your thick coating on embossing powder will crack. Fun!

Now you are ready to make a project with it! For my card I used the Playful Thinking of You sentiment (B195) and added lots of layers and some hearts and tiny rhinestones. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial and if you give it a try I'd love to come and see!
