Thank You Card Set ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a set of A-1 Thank You cards I created featuring Great Impressions Stamps.

I'm participating at a Craft Fair this weekend at a local school, and here is one of the projects I created for the sale.

I pulled out my much loved Elegant Butterflies (J119) along with the Being You Sentiment (D509). Using various inks I created a 1/2-inch panel on the left side of each card and envelope. I then used my Misti to stamp the butterflies and sentiment on each card, and I also added a butterfly to each of the envelopes. Using the Misti allowed my stamping to be identical on all of my cards. Love this piece of equipment.

I've used this technique in the Fall last year on a full size card and I really love the design/layout. Once done with all my stamping I added some enamel dots, and tied the bundle of cards up with some twine.

We all need extra Thank You cards in our stash, and I know that the parents attending this weekends event will be looking for some. I went with Fall colors for my panel, but you can use any seasonal colors with this design.

The October Great Impressions Challenge is live so make sure you stop by for all of the details, and if you use some Great Impressions Stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

You're so Very Special to me ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a card that features the Elegant Butterflies (J119) and So Very Special Sentiment (D500), available at Great Impressions Stamps.

For today's card I inked up the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then used two different shades of pink dye ink on the butterflies and stamped them going up the panel. Next, I applied some Tumbled Distress Ink with a dauber around the butterflies. Final step was to layer the panel on two different shades of pink cardstock, and then my cardbase.

I love working with the Elegant Butterflies. Just by changing the color of the butterflies, you can use the Elegant Butterflies for any season.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps froGreat Impressions! I hope you will check out and play along with this months Great Impressions Challenge. Remember, if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Well Behaved Women?

Hi, friends!  It's Monday, and that means it's time for me to share some inspiration using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I chose to go with a fun feminine card with a fabulous sentiment and some butterfly images.  Take a peek...

I stamped the sentiment, F622 Make History, onto vellum, then added it over the top of a panel with the smaller butterflies from the J119 Elegant Butterflies stamp.  I love these colors--I think there's something definitely feminine about them! ;)

I once again went shabby chic, and added a lacy button, gold elastic cording, a glittery red foam heart, and red paper rose to accent my sentiment panel.  I really love the way these embellishments look against the patterned paper. :)

I matted all my panels with some black glitter paper for added texture and shine, and I also added a black doily and some red sequin trim to the top of the card base.  I think that this turned out really fun, and I hope that you agree!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Elegant Butterflies Revisited ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! As we continue with our holiday break, I'm popping in to share one of my favorite cards featuring the lovely Elegant Butterflies (J119) from Great Impressions Stamps.

I fell in love with the lovely Elegant Butterflies (J119) when they came out, and have used them on more than one occasion. For my card I masked off the panel, and used a dauber to apply the ink. Once done I stamped the Elegant Butterflies (J119) along with the Happy Birthday Sentiment (C340) with brown ink, and added the enamel dots.

That is all for me today. I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Wishing you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Elegant Butterflies

Good morning, happy Saturday, and
Happy Halloween!

I'm here to share a lovely card that I made, using these

I've sponged a gentle faded background, used an Amuse die to 'split' the background panel, and stamped the butterflies. The butterflies were stamped again on a scrap,
colored, and fussy cut. The top butterfly is adhered flat to the card base. The other two are glued only in the center, and pulled up on each side to resemble butterflies in
flight.

See you next Saturday with another project for Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use Great Impressions stamps be sure to link them up in our Customer Gallery!
Last time I looked, there weren't very many entries, so you should join in!
You could be the lucky winner!

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

Altered Candle ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share another project featuring the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

Size: 5-1/2" H x 2-13/16" in Diameter

I enjoy Altering Candles with stamped images so I created a candle for my friend to be given with the card I created for last months Challenge.

Details about the above card can be found here.

I stamped the Savored & Treasured (G82) sentiment and the Elegant Butterflies (J119) onto tissue paper, and cut around each image. Using wax paper and my heat gun I adhered the images to my candle.

Once all of the stamps were attaached I applied Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to the antennas of the butterflies and then around the top edge of the candle.

These make amazing gifts and they really are easy to make. There is an awesome Tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers for Stamping on Candles, which includes a video showing you how it's done.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Happy Birthday ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share another project featuring the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card features the Elegant Butterflies (J119) sentiment and Happy Birthday (C340) stamps. I have a couple pictures showing how I created the panel on my card.

I used post it notes to mask both side of the panel (my photo only shows one side), and sponged a variety of dye inks with a dauber going from light to dark. Once the panel was complete I stamped the butterflies along with the sentiment in dark chocolate, and then sprayed a mist of water over the design using a Mini Mister bottle. Once the panel was dry, I used Scor-tape to adhere it to my cardbase and added the enamel dots.

When spraying water on your design you need to be careful. If you hold the sprayer close to your design you can get a blob of water in one central location. I tested my sprayer on scrap cardstock close-up and arm-length away to see the coverage. I found that in order to get a "fine mist" I needed to hold my design arm length away.

Here's a closer look ...

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Watercolor Butterflies

I started by creating a watercolor panel using some fun colored inks and gold glimmer mist.  I wanted to keep it bright and happy to go along with the stamps I used--J119 Elegant Butterfly and E878 Happy.  A few enamel dots in the same colors accent my water colored panel.

I just LOVE the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below for me to read. :)
