Good morning!
After that great blog hop this past weekend I've got 'eggs' on the brain! Sometimes I get going on a theme and that's all I think about for awhile...at least until I'm inspired to move on to something else! So, this Thursday morning I've got a quick project for you...
This is a pillow box! I find them so useful for when you need a quick little something for your friend, neighbor, the Sunday school kids or you just need one more pressie to fill out a gift.
You can find templates for pillow boxes in all sizes to trace onto the back of card stock, cut, score and assemble. Fortunately, for me there are cutting files available and dies, too!
I cut this pillow box out of patterned card stock and stamped and embossed the Easter Greetings stamp onto white card stock. As with a lot of projects, you could whip out a bunch of these with a little planning and better yet, a little help!
What are you working on? Is it your entry for the March Challenge?
If you want to know how to enter, read the Challenge #1 post...
Have a great day!
Inky hugs,
Angi

Thinking Spring
Is it Spring yet?
My calendar says not...however, the crazy weather here
say the temperatures are in the 60's.
I will take it and not complain one bit!
So I am in the mood for some bright Spring colors and lotsa texture today.
Think I pulled it off with this card.
I opened my brand new pot of Creative Inspirations Paint in a bright shade of mint green to edge my image panel. Colored that little lady bug struggling to reach that flower with my Copics.
Then added some sparkly bling to the center of the flower.
Some funky DP grass and I am ready for Spring!

Who is up for this month's challenge?
It's an easy peasy one...

I am headed out to enjoy the weather while it lasts.

Jars of Flowers
Good morning. I hope everyone had a great weekend and had fun on our crossover blog hop with Creative Paint Inspirations. I loved seeing all the different creations.
Have you checked out the stamp of the month yet? Aren't those images cute? The sentiments are fabulous for an card as well.
So today I have a card with my first (yes first) attempt on coloring on kraft. It was really fun trying and then erasing and then more coloring.
I used the stamp Jars of Flowers to create this card.
I used some lace that I twisted around to make a little border to cover up the orange ribbon strips I made for the bottom of the card.
I used a flower punch and sprayed the yellow cardstock with perfect pearls mist. Then added pinks pearls for the center of the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you stop by tomorrow for Jenny's post.

"To Unpathed Waters & Undreamed Shores..."
Ever have one of those weeks where you wish you could play all the time? This week has been crunch time for me - I've whipped up 4 cards, 1 box and 2 special projects all using Great Impressions' stamps in a matter of days...whew!
This week the Design Team had a "Not a Square" challenge and it took a bit to think outside the box...(pun intended!)
This type of card is known as a rocker card or a wobble card. Texture & movement...sigh. Love it! I've had this Cat Tails stamp for awhile and have been looking for just the right project to use it on...this was it!
And remember I said that I use the Water Swirl Border a lot? Uh huh...it's subtle, but it's there. I think clear embossing is the easiest way to add texture and interest on a project without being too much. (I wanted to use glitter, but seeing as this lovely is going to be on it's way to my grandfather soon...I thought better of it!)
Here's the inside of the card...
Love this stamp. So much left unsaid...imagine the possibilities! This would be great for someone starting a new adventure...parenthood, college, new job...or just because!
Alrighty...if you haven't entered our Challenge #1 - check out the details in THIS POST. You have until the end of March to enter and have a chance to win. Can't wait to see what you create!
Inky hugs,
Angi

An Easter Confection
If you are looking for the Great Impressions Stamps Monthly Challenge click here.
If you are here to see what the DT is up to today....continue on....(grin!)
How about this yummy looking cupcake on your Easter table this year?
Maybe one at each setting to bring a little Spring to the festivities.
My son said it almost looks good enough to eat. I shall take his word for it as he provided the styrofoam ball for the "cake"...found from an old science project.
Love it when I can re-use something.
To create this I used a loop punch to make my cupcake tin.
Then I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the ball and decorated with Liquid Pearls.
I made a little pedestal of sorts for my cupcake by using
Nestabilites and popping each one up with dimensionals.
To top off my cupcake I glued on a white bloomer and dabbed a little more "frosting" on it....
with some sparkly Stickles for the cherry on top.
My tag was made from a die, then sponged around, stamped and decorated with a few white pearls.
Not Shown: Webster's Pages - White Bloomer
Wow! I really had fun creating this.
Love to see what you all are up to!
How about joining in our Monthly Challenge?
Did I mention there are prizes involved?...
This month's theme is anything handmade...
and I mean anything using your creative little hands. (smile!)
Hugs,
Jenny
