Thank You ...

Good morning! I created a Thank You card to share today in honor of the men/women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Today's card features the Cowboy Boots with Flowers (G528). The image was stamped on Kraft cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. A variety of  Faber-Castel Art Grip Pencils, Pastell Pitt Pencils, Silver Pen and a White Gelly Roll Pen were used to color the image. I put lines of White Opal Liquid Pearls around the image, and layered it on red cardstock. Using Vintage Cream cardstock I applied distress ink around the edges and added it to my card. I only used a portion of the Being You Sentiment (D509) which I cut out with a stitched rectangle die, applied distress ink around the edges, and used 3D Foam Squares to add it to my card.

Thank You

Good morning everyone!  Robin here.  We are almost halfway through this months challenge and I have another card to show you.

With this card I am using Wildflower Silhouette (H184) paired with the sentiment Being You (D509).  I made a background with some watercolors and then stamped the flowers a few times across the page.  After that I stamped the sentiment on top, added some sequins and finished it off with some shimmer mist.

We would love it if you will join us this month in the Great Impressions January Challenge.  Don't forget if you use a stamp from Great Impressions leave us a comment and you can double your chances of winning.

Have a magnificent day!

Thank You Card Set ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a set of A-1 Thank You cards I created featuring Great Impressions Stamps.

I'm participating at a Craft Fair this weekend at a local school, and here is one of the projects I created for the sale.

I pulled out my much loved Elegant Butterflies (J119) along with the Being You Sentiment (D509). Using various inks I created a 1/2-inch panel on the left side of each card and envelope. I then used my Misti to stamp the butterflies and sentiment on each card, and I also added a butterfly to each of the envelopes. Using the Misti allowed my stamping to be identical on all of my cards. Love this piece of equipment.

I've used this technique in the Fall last year on a full size card and I really love the design/layout. Once done with all my stamping I added some enamel dots, and tied the bundle of cards up with some twine.

We all need extra Thank You cards in our stash, and I know that the parents attending this weekends event will be looking for some. I went with Fall colors for my panel, but you can use any seasonal colors with this design.

The October Great Impressions Challenge is live so make sure you stop by for all of the details, and if you use some Great Impressions Stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Teacher Thank You ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a Teacher Thank You card featuring the Being You Sentiment (D509) from Great Impressions Stamps.

Great Impressions Stamps will be Sponsoring this weeks C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, and today's card is a hint on what the theme will be for their upcoming challenge.

I pulled out the Being You Sentiment, and inked up just the "Thank You" part of the sentiment for today's card. I made an apple using an apple die with the coordinating stem die, added some googly eyes and twine to add a smiley face to my apple. I layered the "Thank You" on my Bazzill Candy Apple Red cardbase which features school-lined cardstock, and used 3D foam tape to add the apple. To finish my card off I added 3 cherry enamel dots to the upper right hand corner.

Remember to hop on over to the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog on Thursday for all the details about their New Challenge.

There is still time to play along with our current Great Impressions Challenge. Make you stop by for all of the details, and if you use some Great Impressions Stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Baby Shower Gifts ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share the Baby Shower Gifts I recently made featuring the Baby Bassinet (H227)Being You Sentiment (D509), and the New Little Baby Sentiment (C434) from Great Impressions Stamps.

Whenever I am invited to a Shower, Baby or Bridal, I always give A1 Thank You cards as one of my gifts. As we all know, Thank You cards are a necessity for any of these events.

I mass produced a set of 30 Thank You cards for a baby girl. I cut 30 pieces of Classic Natural White cardstock into panels, stamped the lovely Baby Bassinet and part of the Being You Sentiment, which I cut up, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored only the ribbon on each Baby Bassinet and then layered the panel on Pink cards that I cut to size for A1 cards (3-1/2" x 5"). I made coordinating envelopes for each card by stamping a portion of the Baby Bassinet on Natural White Envelopes, once again coloring only the ribbon on each.

Next up is the Bookmark I made to attach to the Diaper Raffle. Why a bookmark you ask? The recipient wanted books to read to her baby instead of receiving a card with each gift.

I continued the design for the Bookmark using the Baby Bassinet, and adding the New Little Baby Sentiment under the image.

You may be wondering what I meant about cutting the Being You Sentiment.  Since the stamps are cushioned red rubber stamps they are very easy to cut apart, and then line them back up to use as they are designed. Here is what the original stamp looks like, without the background effects.

Thank you ...

Good morning all! Ruza here to share a card that features the beautiful Rose Trio (G454) and Being You Sentiment (D509), available at Great Impressions Stamps.

I love roses, and couldn't resist creating a card that features the beautiful Rose Trio. I stamped the Rose Trio twice on Watercolor Paper with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink, then colored the roses with my Marvey Markers, pallet, water and paintbrush. I then added the Being You Sentiment and applied color around the sentiment and roses with distress ink, with the final step I added dots around the flowers, and added my panel to a cream card.

I hope you will check out, and play along with, this months Great Impressions Challenge ~ Anything Goes. Here is the awesome prize that you can win!

Wicker Basket Thank You ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a card that features a lovely Wicker Daisy Basket (G404) and Being You Sentiment (D520), available at the Great Impressions Stamps.

I stamped the image and sentiment with Jet Black Archival Ranger Ink onto a Stathmore Watercolor Notecard, and used my Marvy LePlume Markers, pallet, paintbrush and water to watercolor the image. The Notecard comes with matching envelopes so I couldn't resist stamping a partial of the image and adding a bit of coloring to the basket.

Great Impressions is one of the Sponsors for the House of Cards End of Term Blog Hop/Challenge currently going on, and my card was inspired by the Photo Inspiration Photo for the Challenge. Make sure you hop on over for all of the details!

Thank you for being you ...

Good morning! Ruza here to share a Thank you card featuring the F49 Flower Cart and D509 Being You Sentiment, available at the Great Impressions Stamps.

When I saw that the Flower Cart was recently brought out of retirement for a limited time (see top of sidebar) I knew I just had to have this beauty. I paired it up with the Being You Sentiment.

I stamped the Flower Cart on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink then commenced with watercoloring the image with my Marvy LePlume Markers, pallet, paintbrush and water. Once complete, I added the Coral Panel behind the colored image, and layered it on the background I created with 3D Foam Tape.

Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap 'n Make Cards here today to share a beautiful card with you!!

For my card today I am featuring the sweet Being You (D509) sentiment!!
It's always nice to thank those special people in our lives!!

I wanted to keep this card kind of simple, so I just used the sentiment and added a few embellishments.
And just used a piece of beautiful floral pattern paper in the background, which I think works wonderfully with the sentiment!!

Downton Abbey Inspired Card

Hey everyone, I'm so excited to share this card with you today! When I found the Damask Background stamp in the store I was instantly reminded of Downton Abbey-my very favorite program on television!
I did some silver embossing with the background stamp (Damask Background K91). Then I layered some lace trim, black velvet ribbon and tied a bow with some seam binding: all more things that remind me of Downton Abbey. I then used Being You D509 to make the sentiment tag.
Are you a Downton Abbey fan too? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thank You Chickadee

It may still be autumn according to the calendar, but it's not too early to start thinking about winter cards! It wouldn't be unheard of to see some of the white stuff in our area anytime soon.
I remember one winter as a kid that we had an ice storm on halloween and didn't have power for a week! Well I think I could do without THAT kind of weather ALL winter long!

I decided to make this winter card into a thank you...one can never have too many thank you cards on hand, especially with the holiday season coming up! I've used G28 Winter Chickadee, and D509 Being You.

Have a great weekend and stay warm!
