The Sweetest Gift

Happy Monday, friends!  I'm back with another creation that uses some super fun stamps from the Great Impressions online store.  Today I'm sharing a Valentine for a best friend.  Take a peek...

I kept it simple with just a a fun sentiment--E882 The Sweetest.  I punched it out and layered it with some black cardstock.  A few flowers and rhinestones bring your eye directly to this darling sentiment!

To the top of the card, I added a doily, some velvet ribbon, baker's twine, and a crystal button.  I like the girly feel--this is definitely a perfect card for your best girlfriend!

Some patterned paper and faux sitching help to add a bit more to the Valentine theme of this card.  I chose a shimmery white cardstock for the base to add even more shine and texture.  I LOVE it, but it will have to be a hand delivered card because of those flowers.  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

I Love You a Ton!

It's Julie here today with my first post as part of this super talented team.  You will find me on the blog each Saturday.  I am so excited to be here!

A sweet elephant, colored with Copic markers, and a heart shaped card makes up today's inspiration:

I used Heart Struck Elephant (F571), and sentiment A Ton(B238) on this heart-shaped card.  I created the card shape using various die cuts.

Don't forget the Great Impressions Stamps Lovey Dovey Challenge that is going on all month.  We'd love to see a Great Impressions Stamp, but it's not a requirement.  If you do use one, please link it in the customer gallery for a chance to win free stamps.  Please 'like' our Facebook page, too!

I'll see you again next Saturday.  Until then, happy crafting!

Fun Coffee Cup Birthday card ...

Good morning! Ruza here on a new day, and I'm super excited to be back for another term as a part of the Great Impressions Design Team. Today's card features two of the new January stamps available at Great Impressions Stamps.

We have the super cool Fun Coffee Cup (H278) along with the Triple Birthday Wish Sentiment (D513). A lot of fussy cutting and paper-piecing went into creating my Coffee Cup. The only coloring involved was the red and blue stripes on the straw.

The background was created with the same DP I used for the Fun Coffee Cup, added some twine I received in a swap along with a chipboard button, and layered the background on my Kraft card. 3D foam squares were used to add the Fun Coffee Cup, added some bling for sprinkles and over the the holes in the scalloped edging of the cup.

Here's a closer look at the Fun Coffee Cup and Triple Birthday Wish Sentiment ...

I have quite a few birthday's coming up so I kept my card CAS for easy mailing. As you can see, I stamped part of the Coffee Cup on the envelope.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Thoughts

Hello! Leah here and I am very happy to be back at Great Impressions! Today I have a card to share with you that uses just one image stamp and a sentiment.

I think using a monochrome color scheme is very elegant so I chose to go with a navy blue and created my own background using the very pretty  D281 Berry Sprig stamp.

For my sentiment I first cut a strip of navy blue cardstock and decided to heat emboss my sentiment, B176 Thoughts, in white. I added a row of sequins and a bit of twine to finish it off. I hope you enjoyed my card today and thanks for joining me!

Come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!

I must-ache you...

Good morning!  It's Lorie here today and Tuesday is the day of the week that I'll be sharing my fun Great Impressions creations with you all so here we go with a card that is sure to make you smile!

Yep, I've jumped right into the Valentine's Day mode and made a very manly if not vintage looking card for one of my boys (I have four at my house to give cards to!).  I've used A54S Hearts & Dots as a  little background stamp and I Must-ache You E823 for the main image.  This mustache totally reminds me of those muscle men from way back with their fancy 'staches.  :)   This card was also a pretty quick one to make because I used black ink for the background stamps and the same black ink for the main image and then just cleaned off the little heart and word valentine and used a marker to color them then stamped it on my cardstock.  Super easy!

Don't forget about the Lovey Dovey Challenge we are having over on the Great Impressions blog!  There is a great stamp to be won so I hope I'll see you over there!

I hope you have a wonderful day everyone!

Love You a Ton!

Happy Monday, friends!  I'm back with another creation that uses some super fun stamps from the Great Impressions online store.  I've got a sweet jungle themed Valentine for you today, at least I hope you can tell it's kind of jungle themed!  Come and see...

I colored the image, F571 Heart Struck Elephant, using colored pencils to keep it soft.  I added some faux stitching around it to add a bit more texture.  I backed the image with black cardstock to help make the image panel stand out from the soft pink patterned paper.

I colored in the small hearts of the sentiment, B238 A Ton, with colored pencils, too.  I punched it and layered it with black cardstock as well.  The shape is really fun--I think it adds more interest instead of keeping it square or rectangular.

For more texture, I added some cheesecloth, more faux stitching, silk ribbon roses, and fake leaves.  I think the leaves kind of look jungle like...I hope you agree!  I think this card is totally darling, what about you?  I'd love for you to let me know what you think in the comments below!

Great Impressions 2016 Design Team

Hello, friends!  Happy New Year!  A new year means a *NEW* design team here at Great Impressions, and I am so excited to be here to introduce them to you!  Before we start, though, I want to let you know that we will be having a sale starting tomorrow and running through the 4th of January...

And now, the *NEW* design team!

"My name is JulieOdil, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Great Impressions Stamps Online design team.  Great Impressions stamps have impressed me (pun intended) for a long time!  I love how easily and cleanly they stamp.  This is going to be a fun journey!

I’ve always been creative – I play many instruments, like to write, and have been crafty my whole life.  I began scrapbooking about 9 years ago and card making about 5 years ago, but things really took off when I began my blog almost 4 years ago.  It was a life changing experience.

I can’t believe how much fun I’ve had and how many friends I’ve made through my blog. I’d love it if you’d stop by for a visit!"

"My name is Kendra and I live in Northeast, WI with my high school sweetheart! We have two adorable little kids! I’m a SAHM in winter and work landscaping in summer. I have a passion for flowers!! As well as crafting!

I started scrapping 13 years ago as both my husband and I raced at a local race track and I wanted to keep track of our wins and photos. From that it grew into a HUGE obsession! I started scrapping everything and then just over five years ago got into making all my own cards! Any spare time I get I love to be in my room creating either by myself or with my kids, who just love to help me (not sure that I am as productive then, but it’s a lot of fun!!)!

I am so excited to be joining the Great Impressions Design Team! The first stamp I ever owned was a GI stamp!!"

"Hi! I'm Leah and am so excited to be on the Great Impressions DT! I have been crafting all my life but about 8 years ago discovered stamping and found my passion. I love making cards, scrapbook pages and gifts for loved ones.

I have a very supportive and wonderful husband of almost 15 years and we are blessed with three kids. My two boys are Ethiopian and my daughter is biological.

I am busy with homeschooling them and keeping our home. In any spare moments I do find I love to read and garden and I dabble in watercolor painting and crochet."

"Hello, I'm Lorie.  I am an incredibly blessed wife to Todd, mom to three wonderful children ages 28, 24, and 17, and I'm a nana to one wonderful grandson with a second grandchild due February 2016.  I volunteer for our local pregnancy resource center and I'm a volunteer awareness advocate for Shared Hope International.

I have been crafting in one way or another for about 15 years now and absolutely love playing with different types of stamps, paper, and other goodies to make cards, scrapbook pages, 3-D items and...well, you get the idea!
I look forward to sharing my creations with you all and I cannot wait to see what you have to share with us so please make sure you join in on our challenges and give us lots of feedback because I just love it!"

"I'm Ruza--a stay-at-home mom to a very special young lady in Northern Illinois. I've been crafting since I was a young child, and when I became a "SAHM" I turned to crafting to stay busy.

Creating cards, altering items, and just having fun with paper and Copic Markers is an amazing hobby that I truly love. I'm very grateful that I have a husband that supports me, that my son loves seeing my creations as well, and that my special young lady enjoys getting into my crafts (sometimes).

I truly love the challenge of making something beautiful with the various products available in the crafting industry, and I look forward to sharing my love of crafting with Great Impressions amazing stamps."

I hope you all can join me in welcoming these gals to the Great Impressions team for 2016!  I know they'll have some fabulous projects that will just knock your socks off.  We'll be back on Sunday with our first monthly challenge for 2016 with these new gals, so stay tuned!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Elegant Butterflies Revisited ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! As we continue with our holiday break, I'm popping in to share one of my favorite cards featuring the lovely Elegant Butterflies (J119) from Great Impressions Stamps.

I fell in love with the lovely Elegant Butterflies (J119) when they came out, and have used them on more than one occasion. For my card I masked off the panel, and used a dauber to apply the ink. Once done I stamped the Elegant Butterflies (J119) along with the Happy Birthday Sentiment (C340) with brown ink, and added the enamel dots.

That is all for me today. I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Wishing you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

Until next week ... Enjoy!
