Elegant Butterflies Revisited ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! As we continue with our holiday break, I'm popping in to share one of my favorite cards featuring the lovely Elegant Butterflies (J119) from Great Impressions Stamps.

I fell in love with the lovely Elegant Butterflies (J119) when they came out, and have used them on more than one occasion. For my card I masked off the panel, and used a dauber to apply the ink. Once done I stamped the Elegant Butterflies (J119) along with the Happy Birthday Sentiment (C340) with brown ink, and added the enamel dots.

That is all for me today. I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Wishing you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Building a Snowman

Well, friends, happy Monday!  I hope you had a WONDERFUL Christmas day!  Even though the holiday is over, it's still cold and wintry outside here and so I am still in the mood for wintry images on my cards.  I used a DARLING image and GORGEOUS frame from the Great Impressions online store on my creation today, and I think you'll really like it!  Take a peek...

The image I used is called F251 Build a Snowman.  I stamped it and then colored it in with colored pencils and glitter gel pens.  I added some Stickles for the snow.

I heat embossed K107 Snowflake Frame onto some patterned paper to add to the card base and act as a frame to this image.  I LOVE the silver on blue!  SO wintry!

The only thing left to add was some ribbon and a fun bow.  I layered a snowflake punch and gem onto the bow for added interest.  I think this is totally darling, and I hope you agree!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Hello...and Goodbye!

Hello... and Goodbye!

Today is my last post as DT member for Great Impressions Stamps.
I was blessed to be a part of this group for a full year and will miss working with my team mates.  Deone, the owner, and Mynn, the DT Coordinator have
made this year such a pleasure.

I can't wait to see what the new team members create!

This week has been a break week, and we are sharing our favorite GI creations.

Here is my favorite!

You know....'that moment' when you finish a card, and you're really REALLY loving it?
I had 'that moment' with this card.  I loved creating this card with these wonderful Great Impressions stamps:

Squeeeee....is he not the ca-utest snowman ever?

Wish you could see the sparkle. I used a clear Wink of Stella Brush on all of the snowbanks, lights, bird wing, branches, hat and scarf.

I loved this one so much that it went to our daughter who loves snowmen!

Keep on entering your cards in the Great Impressions Challenges, I'll see you there!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Patti J.

I'm using  D469 Vintage Merry Christmas, and J101 Lace Doily.
This is my last post here with Great Impressions this term. I've really enjoyed working with these cute stamps and the friendly team. I hope one day I will be able to come back.
Thanks so much for all your sweet comments, and the time you take to visit our blog. Have a wonderful end to your year and may the new one be filled with blessings!

Thursday with Toni

Hello!   And, goodbye.  ;-(    Sadly this is my last post as a member of the Great Impressions Design Team.  It's been so much fun and I'll miss you all!

I've made two cards this time.  I had to have the H203 Magical Tree stamp the moment I saw it.  It's so gorgeous!  I had a bunch of ideas but settled on this one for the first card.

Here I used designer paper that had the look of layered stamping without all the fuss and muss.  I then stamped the tree using a matching blue.  I decided to emboss the panel for textural interest before adding the Tim Holtz star.

For my final card as part of the Great Impressions design team, I went ultra simple and modern with a one layer card using G496 Evergreen Wreath and F621 Holidays You may recall I have used this stamp before.  Totally different effect, right?

Be sure to stop by again as a new team will be starting and will have fantastic inspiration to share with you!  Happy holidays to you and yours!

Don't forget about the GI monthly challenge!
You don't have to use GI stamps but it'd be totally awesome if you did!

Happy Holidays ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share a holiday card that I created for the House of Cards Challenge this month featuring an adorable holiday stamp from Great Impressions Stamps.

I fell in love with the adorable Franklin Hanging On (E366) stamp, and couldn't wait to ink him up. Today's card features masking, coloring with my Copic Markers, and paper piecing of the image to create my scene. Once that part was complete, I used DP and border stickers to create the border at the top. Next up I added the Holidays Sentiment (F621) along the bottom and added red dots around the sentiment.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Sending Christmas Cheer!

Ho ho ho!  It's getting closer to the BIG day, and I'm back on this chilly (in the Northern Hemisphere) Monday with another card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I've got another fun CAS holiday card to share with you today.  Come and see...

I LOVE this beautiful image--H205 Christmas Mistletoe.  I simply stamped them directly onto the white card base, then added some white Glaze gel pen to the berries for some shine.

The focal point of the card is the sentiment, though.  This one, A151 Cheer, is *NEW* in the store this month!  I LOVE the graphic fonts and perfect size!  It was punched out then layered with different textures of specialty paper.  Some sequins and liquid pearls frame it and add holiday shine!

I am REALLY liking the way this card turned out--I hope you do, too!  I would love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below.

Holiday Wishes

Welcome back friends! We're getting down there...just one more week until Christmas!
 Are you ready?
I decided to make two cards today using the new H276 Our Family to Yours stamp.
One with gold embossing, and the other with silver.
A very simple design, but I think this large stamp really makes for a pretty card, especially on these fancy metallic background papers.
Thank you for stopping in today, have a great weekend!

Thursday with Toni

Hello!   Time for another Great Impressions card for you!

This time I'm using C492 Stenciled Pine Cone and E738 More Beautiful.  I created the background behind the fab sentiment by stamping the pine cone in Ranger Perfect Medium then brushing over it with gold Perfect Pearls.  It has an amazing soft glow in real life.  I added the die cut pine branches in white to add further depth to the card.  I love how elegant this turned out in no small part to the stamps, right?!

See you next week with another GI designToni

Oh By Golly Elegant Berries ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share my holiday card featuring some of the lovely holiday stamps from Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card focuses on the Elegant Berry Branch (J120) as it draws your eye to the Oh By Golly Sentiment (E883). I really love the Berry Branch. Especially how versatile the stamp is ... it can stand alone or be used to create a background. Distress ink was applied with a dauber, once all the images were stamped, to create the sky. Xmas Red Stickles was applied to all of the berry.

I colored in the Holly on the sentiment, and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on the branches to add some a bit of snow.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Elegant Berry Branch

Good Tuesday Morning, Donna Here!

Another delightful wintry card to share with you......sit back and grab a sweater.  lol

I have used the beautiful Great Impressions Stamp  J120 Elegant Berry Branch.  I stamped the branch on a Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangle die and layered that on some pretty red card stock.  Added a bright red and white gingham check ribbon and bow to the top of the branch.  Placed that all on a white piece of card stock embossed using a Snowflakes Swirl Folder.  I also added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter all over the embossed panel, it shimmers and shines so much, in real life.

After assembling my whole card I grabbed a bunch of Red Adhesive Rhinestones and decorated the larger berries I had colored with a Copic Marker.

This card really has an impact.  AND it is Clean And Simple which I really struggle with.  YAY!!!

Thanks so much for popping in.  Don't forget to check out our Monthly Challenge at Great Impressions and when you use some of our fabulous Great Impressions Stamps upload your creation to our Customer Gallery.  Who knows, maybe you'll be one of the lucky participants to win some FREE stamps at the year end drawing.  Good Luck!

*** disclaimer***
I had no idea Mynn 'blinged' up the Elegant Berry Branch too last week, Great Minds And All!  ;)

Enjoy~~

Sled Friends

Hi, everyone!  It's Monday, so that means it's time for me to share another card using fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I've got another fun holiday card to share with you today...take a peek...

I started my focal panel by stamping G511 Snow Drifts in a blue ink, then layering the main image over it.  I just ADORE this fun image, G387 Sleigh Friends.  I think it is super fun--and could be used for generic winter cards, too!  The sentiment is part of F249 Warmest Greetings.

I added some velvet ribbon and a punched and layered snowflake to the side to help anchor the main panel.  I really think this turned out to be super cute, and I could send it in January as a New Year's greeting if it doesn't get used as a Christmas card this year!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

Peace, Love, Joy

Happy Saturday!

You know....'that moment' when you finish a card, and you're really REALLY loving it?
And then, you try for 30 minutes to take a photo, and just can't get one that you like? Yep,
it was one of those days. I love working with metallic card stock, but it's nearly impossible to
get a good photo.  Here's what I made using these Great Impressions stamps:

I should add that the sentiment is really very pretty in real life.
I used an embossing powder that is a 'snowy, glittery' white, and again,
the photo just doesn't do it justice.

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challengeand if you use Great Impressions stamps be sure to link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Poinsettias

Happy Friday stampers! Emily here with another Christmas card to share.
Using K40 Poinsettias & Berries, and D469 Vintage Merry Christmas
I did some fussy cutting and layering of the flowers: this stamp is perfect for that technique! I used Copics for coloring, then added Stickles to the centers and Perfect Pearls on the berries.
The sentiment is embossed in gold. I also sponged a bit of Distress ink on the cream cardstock underneath the sentiment.
Thanks for dropping by today and don't forget about joining in with our Challenge this month!
I'll see you again next Friday!
