Elegant Butterflies

Good morning, happy Saturday, and
Happy Halloween!

I'm here to share a lovely card that I made, using these

I've sponged a gentle faded background, used an Amuse die to 'split' the background panel, and stamped the butterflies. The butterflies were stamped again on a scrap,
colored, and fussy cut. The top butterfly is adhered flat to the card base. The other two are glued only in the center, and pulled up on each side to resemble butterflies in
flight.

See you next Saturday with another project for Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use Great Impressions stamps be sure to link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Downton Abbey Inspired Card

Hey everyone, I'm so excited to share this card with you today! When I found the Damask Background stamp in the store I was instantly reminded of Downton Abbey-my very favorite program on television!
I did some silver embossing with the background stamp (Damask Background K91). Then I layered some lace trim, black velvet ribbon and tied a bow with some seam binding: all more things that remind me of Downton Abbey. I then used Being You D509 to make the sentiment tag.
Are you a Downton Abbey fan too? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thursday with Toni

Hello!  It's time for more inspiration for you from Great Impressions

Here I used the D452 Blessings sentiment and H184 Wildflower Silhouette.  I was thinking of the harvest moon when I decided to contain the scene in a circle.  And, of course, it's during Autumn that we're thankful for what we've harvested, be it crops, my three lonely tomatoes, or a wonderful group of friends.  The sentiment is perfect for capturing that feeling.

Please stop by my blog to read more about how I created the card.   See you next week!

Don't forget about the GI monthly challenge!
You don't have to use GI stamps but it'd be totally awesome if you did!

Dancing Penquins ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share a card featuring some of the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

I love making holiday cards with Penguins so when I saw the adorable Dancing Penguin (F592) I just had to play with this stamp. I stamped 3 of the penguins on a panel with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and then quite a few extra's on extra cardstock.

Copic Markers were used to color the penguins. For the scarves I colored the extra copies, fussy cut each layer out, and used my Xyron Sticker Maker to layer them on my colored panel. I also colored the lifted foot, fussy cut them out, and using various dimensional tape adhered the feet to the penguins. Distress ink was applied around the images. Next up was to layer the panel on a green and red panel, and then onto my cardbase.

For the inside of the card I recreated the panels, added the Happy Dance Sentiment (D488). After masking the sentiment, I stamped just the snowflakes from the Dancing Penguin (F592) around the sentiment, and applied distress ink around to the panel to match the front.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Merry Christ-MOOSE!

Hi, friends!  It's time for me to share another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  This one features one of my favorite holiday images...and lots of bling!  Take a peek...

This image is called G474 Decorated Moose.  I water colored it, added some glittery gel pen to the string of lights, and made the snow look crystally with some Stickles!

I added a bunch of berries and flowers, plus pearls, to accent the image.  I also added doily parts and faux stitching for more texture.

I REALLY like the way this card turned out!  I know it will need to be hand delivered, but I'm ok with that. ;)  I'd love to hear what you think of this card in the comments below! :)

Seasons Greetings!

It's Saturday, and I'm
here to share a pretty card that I made, using these

I wish you could see this card in real life. I've sponged a gentle faded red around
the image, and it looks so pretty.

I really like the dimension on this. I fussy cut a second poinsettia, and
adhered it with foam squares over top of the main image.

Here's a photo taken from the side.

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

Hello!  Time for another Great Impressions card for you.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the D266 Give Comfort sentiment, especially since we're moving into Autumn.  I love how this turned out.  The texture is amazing.  If only it were this easy to make a quilt in a real life!

I've got more details on my blog and pics on my blog if you'd like to read more about how I made this card.

See you next week with another GI designToni

Wishing You a Magical Holiday Season ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share a card featuring some of the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

As we all know the holidays will be here before you know it, and that means it's time to start making my holiday cards.

Today's card features the Magical Tree (H203) and Magical Holiday Sentiment (G389).

Using VersaMark Ink I stamped the Magical Tree (H203), embossed it with Winter Wonderland Embossing Powder, fussy cut it out, and put it on the side. I then stamped the Magical Holiday Sentiment (G389) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, went over the snowflakes with a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen, and then used some Crystal Stickles to add snowflakes all around the sentiment.

The sentiment panel was layered on my cardbase with dimensional tape, and then I added the Magical Tree (H203).

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Autumn Tree

Happy Tuesday!

Donna here to share a pretty Fall card I made using the Great Impressions Stamp  H233 Autumn Tree.

I stamped the image and then cut it out using a Vertical Frame die.  Taking several Fall colors of Copic Markers I added color to the leaves to mimic the beautiful New England Foliage we typically experience.  The jury is still out if we will get our pretty colors this year as our summer was so dry.

I also added a handful of Adhesive Rhinestones in the Fall colors to add some pizazz!  A bit of shear ribbon for accent and my card was complete.

There's still plenty of time for you to join in on our Monthly Challenge, For The Kids.  And when you use your Great Impressions Stamps feel free to link up your creation into our Customer Gallery.

Thanks so much for dropping by, we love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

CAS Santa

Hi, all!  It's time for me to share another card using stamps from Great Impressions!  I went CAS with this one and used a fabulous Santa image.  Take a peek...

This card uses G444 Santa Wishes and C427 Season's Greetings.  I just needed to add some patterned papers, ribbon, twine, a button, and a few sequins to anchor and embellish the combo!

I think this turned out pretty well--and I know I'll be able to mail it easily, too!  I hope you like it, as well!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!

Happy Holidays!

It's Saturday, and I'm
here to share a creation that I made, using these

I wish you could see the sparkle on this card. There's sparkle on the
sentiment, the trees, and the snow, and it looks so pretty!

This image stopped at the front of the horse, and the back of the sled.
I took a fine point marker, and filled the white panel.
It's hard to see, but the ladies collar, hat, and muff are fuzzy
with Fun Flock!

I really like the way this one turned out!

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

Thank You Chickadee

It may still be autumn according to the calendar, but it's not too early to start thinking about winter cards! It wouldn't be unheard of to see some of the white stuff in our area anytime soon.
I remember one winter as a kid that we had an ice storm on halloween and didn't have power for a week! Well I think I could do without THAT kind of weather ALL winter long!

I decided to make this winter card into a thank you...one can never have too many thank you cards on hand, especially with the holiday season coming up! I've used G28 Winter Chickadee, and D509 Being You.

Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Hello!   Time for another Great Impressions card for you.

I had great fun with this card.  I stamped the H246 Spooky Sayings Background multiple times and embossed it.  I then watercolored over it in deep purple and navy.  I added the ghostly vellum and mounted the ultra cute F413 Ghostly Friends panel.  Cute cute cute!

Fall Watercoloring ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share a couple of cards featuring some of the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

I have been creating Watercolor Note cards for a special lady, and decided to add some Fall cards to the collection, and these Great Impressions Stamps were perfect.

First up is the lovely Harvest Cart (H219) ...

Next up is the super FUN Happy Pumpkins (G383) ...

Using my Marvy Markers I applied ink to each of the stamps and stamped them on Watercolor Paper. Then I use a paintbrush and applied water to the stamped image. Once done with the outline of the image, I applied several different colors from my Marvy Markers collection on a palette and proceeded to color in the images.

Once I was done, I layered them with 3D Foam Tape onto my Vintage Cream card.

As you can see on the second card I signed and dated the card on the front. I will also do this with the first card. The person receiving them likes seeing my signature on the cards I watercolor.

I really love how these turned out and hope you do also.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Christmas Wreath

Hello, friends, and happy Monday!  It's time for me to share another card made using beautiful stamps from Great Impressions.  Take a peek at what I have for you today...

I started by stamping G496 Evergreen Wreath in three different colors of green.  I went lightest to darkest, and I rotated the image as I stamped.  I then added some "berries" using liquid pearls.

I decided to keep this card sentiment free.  Instead, I chose to add a velvet bow to add some elegance and texture!

I used neutral backing papers so that the colors in the image and ribbon were more prominent.  I think this looks very elegant, but that bow is going to make it hard to mail!  So, hand deliver it is! ;)  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your opinion in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  If you ever use our stamps, make sure to link it up in the Customer Gallery!  If you don't have our stamps, but would like to WIN some, make sure to join our monthly challenge, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, all!
